I've been to all 50 states, plus some of Canada and Mexico, but not always camping.

Camping & RV experience:

late 1940's to about 1955: tent camping with family

1955 to 1962: TT camping with family. I am the eldest of 4 children. We had a couple of different TT's along the years. The one I remember best was a 17 foot Mercury: rear twin beds, ice box, no bathroom. We belonged to a TT club that camped once a month and we also took family trips, mostly in California. Favorite road game: finding all the states' license plates.

1966 to 1974: TT camping, 15 foot Scotsman (ice box, no bathroom) with spouse and two kids. We went all over the US and into Canada. Longest trip: 70 days, So CA to S US to NE US & Canada and back. Favorite road game: looking for animals or looking for letters in alphabetical order on roadside signs.

1974 to 1990: tent camping with kids or friends or groups or even sometimes solo. Longest trip: So CA to British Columbia.

1991-2006: About 60K miles of mostly-solo travel in a custom-built 4WD Class C on a Toyota 22R chassis. Longest trip: 6K miles, 32 days, visited ID, MT, ND, UT. Usually camped about 50 nights a year.

2006- : Tiger CX 4x4 RV. I'm just getting started with this one! 70 nights of camping and over 10K miles the first year.
