First RV'ing experience was a beat up camper van I bought in 1999. It was a 1975 Chevy 3/4 ton conversion by Open Road Industries (I think). I fixed it up quite nicely and used it during my duty station change from Meridian, MS, to San Diego, CA (US Navy). During that period of time we drove it from MS to NC, NC to NH, Back down to FL for school, then out to CA. I have long since sold the van and in March 2007 I bought a 2001 Tahoe Lite 22CB. I've been all over San Diego County, El Centro, CA, Disneyland twice, Las Vegas, etc. Wife, son and I have had a great time with our travel trailer.
