RE: Road Hazard Insurance for MH tires

"Road Hazard" is a manufacturer GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card for making bad tires. They will always claim it was a "Road Hazard" when they have had thousands of tires blow out the same way. You just have to stand your ground. The dealer will want to send the tire in for "EXAMINATION" by the manufacturer, in the meantime, you have to purchase another tire. A week or so later you get the call that it was "Road Hazard" and What did they do with the tire ? OH ! it was destroyed. This happend to me with two Michelins, zipper side wall blowouts. The first time, I did it their way and paid for the replacement personally. The second one I did some research on the internet and would not let the tire leave the dealer's shop. Told them to hold it and call me when the Rep. was in town. The next day I get a call that the tire will be replace at "NO CHARGE".
OVERWHELMINGLY all the tire manufacturers get by with this tactic. Caveat Emptor.

RE: Replacing Fuel Injector Tube

Thanks for that option, Stim. That had not occurred to me. These tube are small, probably only 1/8 inch. Is brazing still an option with that small a tube ?

RE: Best Air compressor for Class A Motorhome

YOU ALREADY HAVE A COMPRESSOR.If you have Hadley Air Horns.
Remove the little gage on top of the Air tank, usually up front somewhere @ generator. Get a brass T fitting the size of the tube going into the gage, usually 1/4 inch. put the gage on top of the T and run a hose off the extra outlet to a quick disconnect to a convenient location inside a bay where you can store a 50 ft air hose with an air gage reading chuck. You'll get 120psi. Total cost @ $60.00. total extra weight you will be carrying @ 5 lbs.

Replacing Fuel Injector Tube

I have a leaking fuel injector tube on my Cummins C 8.3 liter engine. Any special concerns about replacing this tube? providing I Can find one for this 15 year old engine. It is not leaking around the fittings but near a stabilizer bar.
Cummins on line option ft9920 group 06.03 only lists this as "#9 Tube, Injector Fuel Supply" with no other part #. There are of course 6 of these and each one is formed or bent into shape for its location.

Go to the link I posted above for DAN. On the home page on the left go down to "MEMBERSHIP" a sidebar will come up. Move the cursor to the top one "INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY" another sidebar will come up "MEMBER BENEFITS" click on "MEMBER BENEFITS" when the next page comes up click on "24-hour DAN TravelAssist" and this will come up : When you join DAN, you are automatically enrolled in DAN's travel assistance plan and your family is covered with your family membership. If you travel at least 50 miles/80 km from your permanent residence, TravelAssist is there to help 24 hours a day. DAN TravelAssist, through AIG Travel Assist, arranges emergency medical evacuations for any medical emergency - and provides many more benefits - for you and your immediate family members.
ANY MEDICAL EMERGENCY should cover heart attacks, strokes, etc. It goes on to explain the amount $100k for family membership.
Hope this helps.

RE: '95 Winnebago Luxor 36' - Your opinion?

Check this out. www.rvliving.net this Canadian couple have been fulltiming in their 95 luxor since 1999. It has over 130k on it. She is the author of RV living in the 21st Century.
They just had it repainted in 2009 and plan to keep it as I do mine.

RE: '95 Winnebago Luxor 36' - Your opinion?

Oh Yeah ! The passenger seat is not really a 2 PERSON passenger seat. Winnebago called it a Queen size passenger seat. It will recline, swivel and has an electric footrest. Yes 2 small to average size people can fit in it, its that big. Thats an example of the quality that was put into a luxor. All the cabinetry in mine is Cherry and all the drawers are dove tailed. The cabinets are still tight after 105000k.

RE: '95 Winnebago Luxor 36' - Your opinion?

Have owned my 95 Winnebago Luxor for 10 years. It has 105000k on it. This was Winnebago's first venture into the upscale market and these units were overbuilt for their price. It probably does not have a roof air. These were the first units built with basement air and mine will freeze me out at 95 degrees outside. I love the basement air. They were prior to slide outs and were designed for comfort without them. We just spent 11 months in ours while our home was being built and had plenty of room. We were both amazed as we had never spent longer than 6 weeks in it prior to that. The coach was made really well is all I'm speaking to. Continue your check because people and will destroy the finest of things for no reason at all.
