RE: advice on wireless internet

I've been doing what your suggesting for two winters. I've found it to be a hit and miss thing as to where and when you have internet. Allot of the camp grounds have wifi. The problem is allot of them are running on a dial up and are slower then all get out.
Depending on where you are going, you can look at the Cricket Wirless, it a none contract air card for 40 dollars a month with unlimited down usage. They have a site map where you can view there wireless coverage. I don't have the cricket, but am considering it for next year. Bill

RE: Military reunion

I'm not going to to tell you where to stay, but having been to many reunions, you might just want to ask the hotel where the reunion is going to be held if you can park in there lot. I know on several occasion I have parked in the hotel lot free of charge. Most reunions are only three day long, and I know you'll want to be close to your buddies. For the most part you'll only be sleeping in RV. And you just be a hop skip and jump for the group. Just my personal advise. Give the hotel a call. Bill

RE: No Pressure from Hot Water Heater

You might want to make sure your hot water bypass valves are in the proper postion. If the hot water heater was winterized, they would be in the by pass or closed postion. The handles userly indicate the direction of flow.. Good luck

RE: WATER LEAK UNDER BATHROOM SINK

That looks like a vaccume breaker for a dish washer or washing machine. If it is connected to a washing machine, you might need to remove it and clean it out, lint will sometimes get caught in the vent side of the housing, causing water to leak out. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Dual purpose or deep cycle battery?

Deep Cycle generally cost more, and for a lot of folks there not really need. If you find yourself parking in camp grounds with hook ups, and only using the batteries for an occasional Walmart stay. Those deep cycle also require more charge time then dual purpose. For every amp you take out, you will have to put back. I'd wait and see how they work for you before you replace them. JM2Cents Bill.

RE: Dish receiver in class a as 3rd room?

Just a note, I use the Dish Net, and if your going to be using a DP Pro Receiver, Then you will need the DP Pro LNB, esp on there New Rigs that are actualy two recievers in on, meaning it can be used on two televisions at the same time on one receiver.

RE: VEHICLE TO BE TOWED BY CLASS A MH

Have you tried towing it. True there more work getting on the dolly, but not the horror some would have you believe. I've done it both ways, dolly and tow bar, I prefer the tow bar, when I take my Nissan, I use the dolly. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Use of standard 20 lb. LPG tank in a Forest River Sunseeker

Most Suburban gas supply stores, sell a what is called " Extend a Stay" or you can order off the net. It allows you to tap into your RV LP gas supply, and add an carry tank, 20 or 30 lbs. I believe they run about $100.00 to purchase. Bill

RE: Harbor Freight 45W Solar system

I gained about 40 amps (amp hours) a day. I don't know how you could do that. A 45w panel is about 3 amps at best for maybe 4 hours, then much less than that for the other 5 or so hours. Maybe 20 on a real good day.
Anyway OP, it's a very low wattage system for not much more than battery maintenance.
You might want to do math again, 4.5 Amps X 8 hours in the desert, Perhaps another 4 hours of reduced sun coming and going. 2 Amp per hour. Good for about 44 amps. if I don't walk in front of them. LOL.. Bill

RE: Buying an RV on the internet

I would be nice if you forwarded all information to the Nevada Better Business. Asking them is this how business is done in Nevada, bait and switch business. I'm sure they'll be getting a call. Who knows, you might even getter a better deal out of after all the dust settles. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Harbor Freight 45W Solar system

I used one last winter, outside of Yuma while boon-docking. It works, but I used the generator to cap up the batteries. I gained about 40 amps a day. But I do like my TV. It also depends what you plan on using them for. They are a low grade solar cell, but there cost is well set at $199.00 or so. There regulator is garbage. Had to pick up another at Camping World for under $15.00.

RE: Straight talk wireless

Guess you can't argue over the $30.00.... LOL Bill :E
Kinda of like the time I went with LINGO VOIP phone service, 8 hours of talk to India, they finally hit the right combo to get my phone to work. Only problem was my ISP configuration in the router file was so messed up, I had not internet. Another 3 Hours to get that and working. Then every fifth phone call I had to go down and rest there modem. After a month I canceled with them. Two years later the call me up, and want me to pay my bill for the last two years or it's going to collection. LOL.... I told them good luck on a thirty day contract. Where it states if payment isn't received your contract is canceled and service will be terminated. That told me that didn't apply because when I canceled my account I used the wrong phone number when I called in. I just hung up, still waiting three years later for there collection group to call. Bill.

RE: Norton Anti Virus Software has gone mad!!!

Just a note, I tried to uninstall Nortons without he tool, and turned my hard drive in to image drive. Every time time I would delete something, it was gone. Then restarting my computer, it would be there again. It wouldn't even let me reformat. Had to take it to a computer shop. Never again. Bill

RE: Microwave broke, do i need a special one to replace it with?

Any microwave that is 110 volt. But you will find it's the depth of the microwave. The ones in the RV's are generally one inches less in depth. Measure depth of the present Microwave. It the replacement is the same or you don't mind it sticking out. All will be good to go.

RE: Coach battery problem??

Did you check the cells with Hydrometer, that would tell you right away. But I know from times past, when the terminal post rots off, it's makes the battery a good candidate for replacement. Your coach is 2001, how old are the batteries. Bill.
