RE: RV Park San Antonio Area

We stayed at Blazing Star RV park last year. I would highly recommend this park over Admirality. Admirality used to be very nice in the 1980's. However, Blazing Star is much better and only a few minutes to the Alamo.

RE: Camping World Does it AGAIN! UPDATE 2/25

Success in life is usually measured by how people deal with adversity. Kudos to CW and how Mr. Lemonis handled the situation. It renews my confidence in corporate America.

RE: New Accuride wheels with Accushield coating

Did you measure the weight difference ?
No I didn't check the difference between the steel and aluminum wheels.

New Accuride wheels with Accushield coating

I thought I would share my latest modification. I just installed these new Accuride wheels on my Expedition. I paid the extra $$ for the Accushield coating and Alcoa hub covers. Just for information the steel wheels I removed had "Accuride" stamped on them. me.

RE: Hot Water Tank

On an old RV Today episode, the resident RV expert from a dealer in Ventura, CA installed an adjustable thermostat on an RV hot water tank. It can be done.

RE: Diesel Oil Change - Riverside Co. California

I live in Murrieta Sand-Wedgie. I always take mine to Johnson Cat in Riverside for engine related service. I also use M&M Coach in Chino for all Freightliner issues. I have never been disappointed with either company.

RE: Battery clamps for Trojan T-105's???

Big K
I had the same problem. I removed them and cleaned them with a wire wheel. I them "dipped" them into a can of plastic/rubber coating that I bought through Eastwood Company...eastwoodco.com.
Good luck

RE: How do I remove RainX wax from exterior glass?

Call the Rain-x help line on the bottle. They recommend using Soft Scrub, but use it very gently. Good luck. The only time I used it it turned my windshield into a milky mess.

RE: 2004 Chevy Silverado Dinghy Towing

I am just around the corner from you in Murrieta. We towed a 2006 GMC Sierra crew cab 4x4 for about two years. It was very easy to setup to tow because of the transfer case and nonlocking steering column. However, it was tougher to tow due to the weight and length. I nicked the rear wheel while using the ferry from Cape Hatteras to the mainland. I used a US Gear braking system. It was the best way to go. BTW I have a Coastline full bra cover if you are interested.

RE: 2006 Fleetwood Bounder38N

I had the same problem beginning with the test drive. The selling dealer installed two of the ball bearing latches, which never worked properly. I found that the best solution is installing Southco latches. I have not had any trouble since. I installed two latches on the larger drawers. Good luck.

RE: Smelly RV

Whenever my coach gets smelly it is usually the gray tank from food particles decaying. Try a splash of gray tank deodorizer.

RE: Windshield Wiper Blades

I just bought Trico blades from Woody's. I had to purchase the double screw adapters as well. Better quality than the OEM blades on my Expedition.

RE: Door Weather Pro

You didn't specify the manufacturer of your awning. I can share my experience, and it might help.
I had nothing but trouble with my exit door awning when I first bought my coach. After making myself a nuisance at A&E (Dometic), I found that the adjustment of the extending arms is very critical for proper operation. I found a competent technician who knew how to adjust the arms.

RE: Used DP purchase -- $$$ and horror starting to scare me

I have owned my DP for 5 years now. Realistically, unless you are an accomplished diesel mechanic, your annual maintenance costs will run between $1000 to $2000 per year. There is a whole host of chassis maintenance requirements that must be completed religiously unless you want to risk a breakdown. I use a Freightliner Oasis dealer and the local CAT dealership for all my work. In addition, tires and batteries (6 for me) should be replaced every 5 to 8 years depending on who you listen to. The upside, I have thoroughly enjoyed using my coach and would definitely do it all over again.

joebloe
Take a look at wisesales.com. They quoted $899 with free shipping and no sales tax on a Honda EU2000 California CARB model. You must either email or call them to obtain a price. I'm thinking of the 2000 for just around the house.

RE: Sprayed Bed Liner Changing Color

Rhino liner sells a black liquid in a squeeze bottle that restores spray on coatings. It is applied with a paint brush. I used it on my pick up and it made it look brand new. You may want to visit the company that applied the spray on for you.
