RE: Reserve America - Call in or On Line Res

Sometimes it easier to get front row Bruce Springsteen tickets than it is to get through to Reserve America.

RE: New TT this Saturday!!!

Here is a fairly comprehensive PDI (pre-delivery inspection) check list. At least it will keep you focused and help guide you when you look over the trailer before you sign. Enjoy your new rig.. PDI Checklist

RE: Nissan Just Unveiled Their Commercial NV Truck/Van Line

Should have kept the cover on it when they "unvailed" it. That is one ugly vehicle.

RE: Looking for Brand Name feedback

Sounds like relatively minor (but frustrating) issues. Most all new trailers need some tweaking and adjusting at first. Make a list and take it back to the dealer for the fixes. Don't let them blow you off with "It's normal." You will also find that the more new trailers you buy the more you will realize that quality build control leaves something to be desired in the industry. At this point, I would say that you "got a lemon". Good luck with you new adventure.

RE: Slide topper?

Had it both ways....with and without We camp a lot in rain and or under trees. I like slide toppers.

RE: Wheel chocking advise

I am not sure about this - someone with more knowledge will have to say but could you disconnect your break away cord on the fifth wheel and it lock your brakes or does it have to be hooked to your tow vehicle for that to work? Not sure Not a good idea. This will do two things: Draw down you battery Burn out the magnets on your brakes.

RE: Trunnion or round bar???

I could be wrong but I thought that Reese Dual Cam only comes with trunnion style bars...that's what I have. I do not use any grease on the cam end of the bars but I do use a little dab on the trunnion ends that go into the hitch head. It's a great hitch. Get it set up and dialed in correctly and you will be very happy with it.

Not as fast as most others when I am towing...I often get passed.

RE: What length is the right length?

When deciding what unit would be a good combination for your truck...use the wheel base which is 125.9 for the Frontier..not 205 which is the overall length of your truck. Good weight distribution/sway control is advised. Equil-i-zer or Reese Dual Cam would be a good choice.

RE: Carl Edwards

"Stuff" like this is great for the BUSINESS of nascar and is exactly what they want and need. We went to the Las Vegas race. 100+ green lap runs, no controversy, no drama, not even 1 page of posts, no debates all over the television and internet...some good racing, but basically ho-hum. Races like Las Vegas and California do not help nascar. Two different reputations at play here: Kes..wrecks lots of different people and does it often.(known for it) Edwards... race him clean and he will race you clean, but don't mess with him.

RE: 4-season, no fourishes, no frills?

DW dislikes what she considers "fancy" interiors of most travel trailers. She prefers the basic, sort of "European" utilitarian look. Linoleum, not carpet. No floral patterns, please. Thanks. What, you dislike "fancy interiors"...don't want "floral patterns?" How about something like this? :B http://www.alasvegashotel.com/images/rooms/camelot_main_big.jpg height=300

RE: Greatest Generation

Worked hard, didn't expect something for nothing or expect anything to just be handed to them. They were willing to wait, work and save for what they had. Much more patriotic and much more willingness to step up and get it done. There are still lots of folks with these same values out there but not as many..especially in the younger generation. (I am entitled, I want it now, I want it handed to Me Me Me.)

RE: anti-freez / water filter

For two oz. I would not replace it. Although not good to guzzle down by the jug full, RV anti-freeze is not toxic (like auto coolant). Flush it out real good by running lots of water through it and you will probably survive.

RE: Looking at 2010 Ram 2500 CTD - Auto or Manual?

You will love pulling a measly 7000 lb. trailer with your soon to be new diesel truck. Manual or Auto..all opinion and all up to you. I really like the Allison 6 speed auto in our truck. (manual option was not available) but I would have gone auto anyway. whatever you choose (auto or manual) you can't lose.
