You still can't quote me correctly, the only way you can hold your side of the argument is to make stuff up.

Perhaps you should re-read your posts before asking that question.

Yikes! Diesel dropped from $4.65 to $4.59 at the station I frequent.

I filled up, went home and toasted the event with a bourbon.

Diesel's been slowly dropped over here the last few weeks. The Exxon is usually about average of them all, it went from $4.75 -> $4.65 -> $4.55. There's one BP station though, when it started going up they went up first and the highest, it has stayed steady at $4.90 for well over a month plus until yesterday when it went from $4.90 as I went past going to work to $4.58 on my way home, $0.32 drop in one afternoon! I guess they sucked as much as they could out of those dumb enough to not drive a little further down the road. (I see a lot of dump trucks there and figure they get a lot of commercial customers) I paid $4.53 at Sunnoco less than a mile down the road on Monday. Previously the Sunnoco was $4.65.

And if prices had risen...I think you'd still have had that bourbon

Let's see...25% price premium for diesel fuel, with a 25-100% boost in miles per gallon. And your point is...?

Wait, you have none, and are merely trying to convince yourself that your gas-hog van is more economical than a diesel truck. Never mind.

When Gas vs Diesel must be decided on what you are going to do with the truck!
The diesel engine gets more calories than does the gas out of a liter of fuel.
How heavy is the trailer you wish to pull and where are you going to pull that vehicle! Price per gallon should be towards the bottom of the list.
The whole package will run better if you take the time to do your homework......
For example: if you use more gas, how long before the price of diesel balances out the dollar amount.........
My 2001 Dodge pulls a 12k Carriage and gets 9+ when pulling between Kingman AZ and Las Vegas Nv. This is with the A/c on and 98 Degrees outside. And it is uphill all the way........all 121 miles of it.
