You got some shots that I missed and did a great job. The Lighthouse shot at Whitefish point turned out excellent.

Thanks for the welcome! sukerpooch - I'm really loving the pics - we had the pleasure of going to the Michigan UP in July and had a really great time. I'll try to post a few pics of our boatride at painted rocks.

My wife and I popped up the hill to Reno to have a nice dinner and pull a few slot machine handles for her birthday. It has been tradition amongst my pals and I to stop at the border and snap a few pics. Here I am at the sign along I-80 and the view down the hill at the Truckee River.

Here's the famous Arch and a shot of downtown by Cal Neva. Notice what's not there... Give up? Why, its people! This is on a Sunday afternoon during football season in September and there was acres of empty slot machines and forlorn looking tables. There were also a couple of boarded up casino fronts along Virginia St, the main drag. The Indian casinos in California are really hurting the casino business in Northern Nevada.

This is the view of the exact spot that my wife and I got married in Reno. It was just her and I and the preacher. I thought getting married outside along the Truckee River would be pretty cool and it was.
The bottom pic is of the Virginia St bridge. This is not the original bridge over the river, but its the site of the first one. Its old tradtion when Reno was the divorce capital of the country that after your day in court you walked the half block to the bridge and tossed your ring into the river. I have upheld this tradtion, but don't plan on doing it again. And that's your PPT history lesson for the day.
