Some GREAT photos of light houses, family and scenics! I like your blaze of color, Art and the light houses are delightful.

Not sure how well, if at all, this will show up on non-calibrated monitors...

Jupiter, Sagittarius and a bit of Milky Way taken last night with 30 second exposure.

I found a nice Veterans Memorial today at the Glendale Public Library in Glendale, AZ.

This is a condensed version of what the artist, Joe Tyler, wrote about the memorial he created in 2002.

"This memorial honors all veterans of the Armed Forces who selflessly defended the United States of America, during times of peace and war.

The five-pointed star pathway defines the setting for five welded steel trees, one for each branch of the service. The intertwined limbs are symbolic of the combined support of the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy and the Coast Guard. The leaves represent the thousands of veterans who have served, currently serve, and will serve."

Nice memorial, and hope I captured a nice picture of it to share with all of you.

Pete excellent picture. This capture makes me think of my father and be thankful that he taught me military service is something to be proud of.

Jim a true snapshot ,seizing the moment no prior planning. Basically having a camera ready and shooting. Perhaps it should be called a capture of the moment. I never set out to take a picture it is the wow would that be nice moment. Like most people who take photographs I can take a great picture but I guess a snapshot is wow that looks neat. A poor explanation but allot of fun.
