Ghost - Really neat pictures of birds. I especially like the tufted titmouse.
Preach - I liked your interesting pictures. The marina picture is pretty.
Tuli - Great daisy pictures!
Eric - Terrific pictures. I especially liked the Arches pictures. Got any more?

Hundreds, Marites, hundreds! I'll get them pulled together and pick a couple of the better ones and post 'em as I get to 'em. Leaving tomorrow for a star party and getting the trailer packed and the telescope loaded. Should be back by Sunday...
Thanks for the kind comments.

Thanks Marites!
Gary - Have a great time in New England. Give us a shoutout as you drive by Long Island!
Eric - Can't tell you how much I like seeing your photos. Gorgeous, as expected, of course. But more so because someone recently asked if I've heard from you lately. I knew you had been MIA for a while but figured you were just off doing bigger and better things but then, well, I started to get worried. Happy to see you posting here and happy to know you had a wonderful getaway. Enjoy your star party.

ngc1514 wrote: Just got back from 2 weeks in Colorado and Utah. Lots of wonderful scenery - of which I managed to take 3,808 photographs! Started out in Denver where we drove to the almost top of Mt. Evans. Unfortunately, the last 5 miles of road were closed and we only got to Summit Lake at 13,000 feet - about 1200 feet shy of the top.

Beautiful Photos! I can't count how many times we have been to Summit Lake and the top of Mount Evans. Did you get any Bristlecone pictures?

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.
In 1974, Stephen King and his wife, Tabitha, checked into room 217 of the Stanley where King wrote "The Shining." The hotel was the model on which he created the Overlook Hotel and was used as the Overlook in the TV miniseries of the book. The hotel was built by F.O. Stanley of Stanley Steamer automobile fame.
