Gentle Spirit wrote: Hey Dandy Dan! My horses are related to Ebony Masterpiece too! Although one is solid black and the other is brown and white (pinto coloring) - I looked at their papers and they both have Ebony Masterpiece as their Great-Great-Grandfather! What a small world! Although I wonder how many walkers are related to the Great Ebony Masterpiece...here's an interesting website I found:

We don't have a motorhome or trailer yet - but we're going to go look at one (a trailer) on Thursday that sounds good - so where's the next Old Fella Rally? We'll have to go.....
It's in Ohio - you really should come. If, for some strange reason, you don't have one by rally time, Evergreen has some beautiful cabins for rent. You could still come!

Don't know if we'll make it all the way to Ohio - but never know. Sure would love to meet other "dog-people" like me!

For those that don't get the Highways magazine (which might not be anyone)...
So Long, Old Fella
OLD FELLA, a once-stray dog that inspired Good Sam Club members to support the cause of homeless canines, succumbed to cancer recently, but his legacy thrives online.
Old Fella first came to the attention of RVers when Richard Daniels wrote a post on the Good Sam Club forums describing his encounter with the skinny black dog at a campground. The enthusiastic response by fellow RVers encouraged Richard to adopt the dog and then start up the Old Fella Shelter in Waynesboro, Georgia.
Eventually, the forum's Old Fella thread became a rallying point for members eager to rescue stray animals. Last year, thread participants transported Ana-a dog that lost a leg in a roadside accident-from Georgia to her new home in Spanaway, Washington, by passing the pooch from RV to RV in a journey that was reported on NBC Nightly News.
The Old Fella thread now has more than 11,000 posts. You can read the latest animal-adoption news by visiting the forums and clicking on the Old Fella thread.
The article is accompanied by everyone's favorite photo of Old Fella adoring Richard.

I can't wait for my Highyways Mag. to arrive. Unfortunatley I never met Ol' Fella but I read each and every page from day one.

Sue, Charlie and Suzie walking on the beach. It was very windy with some heavy rain. Thursday night I thought we were going to be blown away if not washed away.

I had the hardest time getting Suzie to take this picture. I had to explain that she couldn't be in it and take the picture at the same time. After a lot of explaining and promises she finally agreed.
