Charlie is a very happy dog. Right now he is trying to get some attention by pushing up on my arm while I am typing.Have you ever tried to type while someone of something is pushing up on your arm? I am so grateful for Charlie as he has taken a lot of the pain away at the passing of Old Fella. Old dogs have so much to give if only they are given a chance. His front leg seems to be getting better as I see him putting more and more weight on it without causing him pain.

Today my daughter Robin came for a visit and brought her dog Peaches with her. It was the first time in a long while that I have been able to see Peaches and she had the best time with Suzie and Charlie. Peaches is a rescue that came to live with Robin seven years ago. She is part Jack Russell and another part something else, but she is a lot like Suzie.

It's good to be home after being away for a few days and next weekend we will be camping at Modoc again. Charlie and Suzie enjoy the water so much and it is fun to watch them playing with the ball to see who can get to it first and bring it back. The water is an equalizer and gives Charlie a big advantage with his long legs and aggressive style of swimming.

I have been thinking about the FOOFS and starting wondering what we will be calling the friends of Charlie and Suzie?. At next years rally in Ohio Charlie will have a of responsibilities to take care of for Fella in carrying the banner forward. Of course Suzie will do her part in planning the games and surprises for all the furkids.

Okay I am going to sign off for now and study for the Sunday School lesson. Talk with you later.

Why not just call it FOCAS? We could then be your FOCAS group...

Richard, haven't heard you mention in a while about Suzie's car sickness. Does she still have it? Or are you still doing the routine with her to make sure she doesn't get sick. Have you figured out if it is anxiety or actual car sickness? Still trying to figure out Missy's. She doesn't get car sick (or truck sick) in the truck, but does in the car. The truck has never taken her to the vet or groomer. The CAR has. So we are pretty sure hers is anxiety.

I think if you change the name from FOOF to something else that you would be defeating the vision of keeping Old Fella's mission and memory alive.

Suzie hasn't been car sick in the last four trips. We are still using the Bonine and not feeding her before we leave and it seems to work well. Suzie gets car sick, nothing else. She now looks forward to going as she runs and jumps into the truck and wags her tail saying "Let's hit the road Dad."

We will always have the FOOFS, I was not thinking of doing away with that. I was just thinking of a special handle for Charlie.
