It seems to be better, but I did get the dreaded "We're Sorry ...." message this morning.

At the risk of jinxing things here, we just blew past 12:30AM with no indication of a slowdown for nightly maintenance. This is a first in well over 6 months!

Moderator RVsnowbird sent me to this thread as an answer to my inquirey about the fluctuating performance of all the similar forum sites .

Just this morning, Thursday, I did however experience a similar slow-down on sending a reply on a topic. I had to go back to the home page and get back to my forum topic all over again. It worked quicker the next time, but there still seems to be some fluctuating performance.

I've noticed that sometimes it was just one of the sister sites that was slow or non-responding, or it could be all of the forum websites doing the same thing together.

I noticed also that I could log on to the main page, and scan forum posts, but going to "My Forum" was and is still a little slow in response. "My Forum" meaning those threads or topics that I'm subscribed to or authored myself. Clicking back and forth between "my forum" and the threads was and still at times is fluctuating in speed from average to slow or nearly nothing, as of this morning, 7-26-07.

Hope all the fixes work out. Love this website and it's sister websites.

I have tried everything and am unable to get to my private messages. The time seems to have stood still on June 29th and nothing beyond that date will come up.

I know what your feeling/saying. These linked websites i.e.. Woodhalls, RV, Good Sam... are all funky the way they will be fast for a few minutes then they are slow as slugs, or they just seem to close-up and you can't log on. Then 5 minutes later, you can log on.

????????

I assume that when you go to you Inbox, the last message is from June 29th.

I can think of two explanations. Perhaps you have not received a PM since June 29. No, I don't really believe that, but I did send you a PM just to insure that there was one more recent.

My guess is that your browser is opening a page stored on your computer. While in you Inbox, presing the F5 key should force a refresh, but the best test would be to delete the Internet temporary files. (Tools Menu - Intenet option - General tab - Delete files...)

Of course, if my starting assumption is wrong, I would like the chance to make up another lie.
