We have a 2006 Journey and it has a really tacky DVD player with Surround Sound system. Our rig is going to a custom shop next week to have the tube "box" tv replaced with a 32" LCD. Since the DVD/Surround Sound combo unit acts weird sometimes (skips brand new disks and other weird thing) we were thinking about replacing that unit before they build our custom entertainment center.
Question is, what units have you all replaced your DVD/Surround Sound units with? It has to be a combo - the DVD player must do the surround sound as that is the current setup (and when it works we like it). The only things I see at Circuit City that are a "combo" like that come in packages with all of the speakers (which we dont need).

I have a Sony Home Theatre system. It really works good. Should be able to buy just the combo unit. Try a google search.

Whatever you get, be sure it meets the mandatory in 2009 standards regarding hdtv that will be imposed on us...

Panasonic came as an option in the Southwind. Seems to have more than enough to fill the small space in the coach.
