One suggestion might be to add a "dealer response" to the forum much like most of the RV mags offer. These are also offered on other RV forums and I must admit, most issues seem to get resolved or at least explained.

Unfortunately, Mike Thompson's issues aren't just the "little" things that could be corrected like the above OP's issues. They've been known to block people in, "lose" keys on a trade possibility, bait/switch and other major issues along with the minor ones. Amazes me how they are still in business.

I had my own negative experience with Mike Thompson in Fountain Valley, CA. It wasn't a big deal but it was enough to tell me that I was dealing with the wrong people. I ended up going all the way to Yuma Az, (RV World) to get my rig. I'm glad I did. When I upgrade, I know where I am going. An organization's climate is set by the top; they do the hiring, training, setting goals and standards. If top management gets a customer complaint...how they handle that complaint tells their staff A GREAT DEAL!!!

My only RV purchase experiences have been with MTRV in Fountain Valley. What I have learned is that you can't rely on the sales people to follow up on ANYTHING after the rig is delivered and you've signed the final paperwork. I've also learned that if you can't inspect it, don't sign paperwork on it.
Like I mentioned above, my sales experiences there have been less than great. I have had two service advisors that I have been able to have productive relationships with.
So, overall, I'm willing to give them a chance if I buy again, given the AHness of the salesperson.

I have to say that I feel your pain. I bought an 08' 3812 Raptor from MT RV. I was promised some things that to date, have not yet come to fruition. The deal was made at the Fountain Valley store, via the LA RV show at the Fairplex last year. Some of what you describe as to how you were treated after the sale seems to remind me of my own situation when I called and said asked where the rest of my stuff was.
With all that being said, please allow me to give you a heads up on the repair service. Although the MT dealer did you dirty on the sale, I can personally vouch for the warranty repair facility at the Colton store. I've had so much warranty repair work that they've had the coach in their possesion longer than I've had it. Out of the 10 months I've owned my coach, MT had it almost 6.
They were able to get warranty authorization and have taken care of EVERYTHING that's went wrong. I can't say much for the sales end of MT RV, but I will say that after owning an 06' Dunechaser, that I bought from Canyon RV in Colton, MT service/repair is outstanding! Canyon RV is one I would strongly advise against as I got a good screwin. Some friends of ours are still in a huge fight with them in an attempt to fix their 200k motorhome that can't seem to keep the slides in while underway. That one's going to litigation very soon.
If you find yourself in a sitaution whre you need them to fix things on your coach, (and believe me you will have things fixed) then I would strongly advise you make the trip up to the Colton store and have them take care of you. They actually act like they care and although it won't give you that warm and fuzzy feeling from being lied to by the salesman, you will find comfort knowing they'll take care of the coach when or if she breaks....And she will! The guy you want to ask for is Chuck. He is one of the service writers and he does an outstanding job.

I for one would never buy anything from a dealership that got a bad rating at this site. You have to be able to trust the people you are dealing with. I was treated by RV World, Yuma, AZ like they would like my business next time around. I'll be back when I upgrade.

We purchased our rig from the Fountain Valley store...all we're waiting for is a 2nd set of keys that we were promised...just had it in for some warranty work after our trip to Tunica, MS...we should have our keys now...the guy that's doing some customizing picked it up for us and had our whole "laundry list" to give to MT's service dept...so we'll see later this month.
