Had a great time this summer, boon-docking with friends at Red Feather Lakes, CO-July 25-27,2008. Even though the PUP looks un-level...it was level:

Doesn't look like much, in fact it is a sheep pasture with the sheep removed. What makes this a great boondocking site was the 4 days of Bluegrass music that went with the site. Hard to estimate the number of campers in this makeshift campgrounds but I would guess in the 500+ range. everything from tiny sleeping bag tents all the way up to big class A pushers.

I didn't take the camper thip trip. I was saving a little fuel for the rest of you.
This campsite is just outside Mt Lassen NP to the south.

I (2-10-05) bought a 2002 F350 CC SWD PSD and a new 2003 Citation 10'8. Rancho 9000X & Toyo M55's.I have been a tent camper all my life. I wanted more comfort while doing my Willamette Backcountry Ski Patrol & Crater Lake Ski Patrol duties.11
