See, you thought this would be the usual "I am towing a 40 foot fifth wheel with my F250" post. But, it's not.

I have been towing a 36 footer with one, and just struck a deal for a 43 Monaco Dynasty. No, I am not going to tow this with the F250, although I don't doubt that it would do it. I would like to tow the F250 (diesel 4WD) behind the Dynasty, 4 wheels down. Any problems or issues that I should be aware of?

I did get them to give me a $1500 allowance at camping world for a hitch. What should I think of?

Ford pickups, unlike GMC/CHEV are not RV friendly when it comes to towing their trucks. I have one of each, I know. Yours MUST have the manual transfer case installed at the factory in order to tow and I'm betting that it doesn't, as less than 1000 a year are built that way. It is not even able to have the kit installed, as some of their smaller trucks can have installed. A 2wd model can have a drive shaft disconnect installed, but with a 4X4, you are SOL. Sorry.

I agree with The Texan and in addition, watch the towing weight Max for your MH. That F250 is a pretty heavy truck, I know because I have one. It becomes even heaver as you keep adding more cargo to the bed.

Jerry, he doesn't need to worry about weight with that new BAD BOY MH, it is rated to tow 15K. An awesome machine. Yes, you're right about the weigt going up. Our toad started at 5800#, when 1st set up, but now with the tool box full of "stuff" like a chain saw, etc, the weight is over 6000#.

8500 pounds with me and fuel, so 8000 empty!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the manual transfer case, and how does one recognize it?
