I'm trying to repair the dash on my 1991 Class A Corsair and need help locating an illumination strip that's used to light-up lettering on the dash. The speedometer and gages use normal 12 volt bulbs but the letters are illuminated by tape strips. They're about 1" wide by 3" long and have two wires at one end. They illuminate lettering "Emerg Start" etc. and are stuck to the inside of my dash. Has anyone any info regarding this type of lighting ?? Any help is appreciated

They may use something like this, but these use an inverter to run.

Freightliner trucks of that vintage had strips with fiberoptic cables that plugged into plastic light distribution box with one standard #1815 bulb. I don't know if your strips have wires or fiberoptic cables but your problem could be as simple as burned out bulb in light source box.
