We have a just turned 3 year old son and an almost 7 year old daughter. We started RVing last year and took many weekend and long weekend trips. Other than the few times we camped near amusement parks, we made sure that the CG itself was kid friendly. It was nice not to have anything to do other than spend time with the family. Morning, afternoon, and evening walks were a great way to see who your neightbors were. Take advantage of what the CG has to offer. Pools, arts and crafts, hayrides, hiking and biking trails, etc. We also tayed at a few of our local state parks. Nothing beats s'mores and stories around the campfire. As far as the grand Canyon goes...I'd hold off till the kids are older.

Why am I always putting my 2 cents in when it's only a penny for your thoughts?

I have been obsessed with one day owning a travel trailer. I have lurked these pages reading the experiences of the members here. My DH is finally interested in renting a TT for spring break and having a go at it. Many of his objections are based on the ages of our 2 girls, 2 and 6. He feels they may be too young for us/them to fully enjoy a TT.

Help me select a destination that would prove to him all our family stands to gain from one day owning one! He mentioned Flying into Las Vegas, renting a tt then from there the Grand Canyon and perhaps Lake Powell. We are in GA, outside Atlanta, and are willing to consider other options. Last night we wondered if the Grand Canyon was premature for the girls, that they would be more interested in the pool at the CG.

I would like to set us up, as best I can, for a wonderful experience this maiden voyage.
Suggestions much appreciated!
So what did you end up doing???
