We just got back from our 34 day cross country trip and still trying to get back to normal. I'm in the process of writing a blog on our adventure, but I did post a short synopsis of our adventures here.

No worries, we're holding a spot for you

My, my, my...... that certainly was a real adventure with lots of excitement! Hope you get the windshield, storage compartment, microwave, awning and frig all fixed by SAL rally time!

Adam, that sign is TMI

My dealer seems to be on it. The awning came in today and they expect the door tomorrow. I told them I needed it back by end of Aug so I could get another weekend in....we'll see if they can do it.

Happy Anniversary all you young'ns celebrating this month!!
Judy, I think I know where you can get a better/newer mattress, and it comes in a MH!! Call Butch. LOL
Terry - I mis-dialed my cellphone yesterday and spoke with my childhood bestfriend - she was cruising HAN in a 65 maroon mustang, has a black racing stripe? down the middle of the top and over the back...I know it is doubtful you would run into her, but Pam is lots of fun, and looks way younger than me (although she used to rub in her 21-day "older"ness LOL). One of these days we are going to HAN.
Happy weekend everyone. We leave in about 10 minutes for LAX to pick up our youngest (YAY) and get to hear all about her adventures in South America.
Judy - if my check isn't there by Monday, please advise. I finally mailed it on Tuesday from work...had to find my checkbook. Whew, 3 check (now 2)left. Ordered more checks!!

TGIF!!!!!!!!

The 5er is all packed and we will leave as soon as I get home from work today. Just going locally. It's so nice to live on the central coast and have some many camping choices and not have to go far. I will not have access to the I-net this weekend, so keep the thread alive while I am gone.

Jill, nice tip on the mattress LOL!!! We decided to flip and rotate the mattress. That was a job in itself. We will test it out this weekend to see if that makes a difference.

Adam, loved the BBQ song, those guys cracked me up. Very enlightening, I didn't know there was so many different types of BBQ. Sorry white BBQ sauce doesn't sound appealing and I really like mayonnaise!

Don, good luck with the repairs, I hope they get them all done by the end of August like they promised.

Have a good weekend all!

Wow, what a trip Don.
Which Dealer has the MH?
Stiers or Barber.
Best you can do is keep talking to them.
Home today as Gerri has another Doctor's appointment.
Actually with the Cardivascular Technician to take a sonagram of how the Fistula is doing.

Will drop back in later when we get back.
And again all, thanks for the prayers and thoughts.

It's at Simi RV where we bought it. They've been really good getting things done in the past...usually done by the date they promised.

BUT my troubles pale compared to what you are going through. Our prayers for Gerri for a fast recovery.

Don, Simi RV is on my******list.
When we bought the HR out of Bakersfield, they would not do any warranty work on it because I did not buy it from them.
I understand their point, but still pi**ed me off.

Oh well, hopefully they will take care of you.

Fistula appears to be doing okay, but they still think it will be 5 to 6 months before it is usable.
Just hope we have that long.
Otherwise they have to do a catheter in the neck.
Sure don't want that.

I didn't know that they did that. I will say that they have a very small lot and limited room for their service dept. They are the only dealer within 30+ miles so they are always busy.

However, I agree with you, I don't like that they do that.
During our trip when the fridge door fell off, I called some places in VA knowing that is where we were heading. I told them I was on a cross country trip and explained the situation. Reines RV to me it would be a couple of months for them to get me in!

While this was going on, Four Winds was setting up a place where I could get in to have the microwave changed out and guess who they called.....yup, Reines RV. Anyway, when I went in to get the micro, I noticed a number of signs about becoming a "Preferred Customer" by purchasing an RV there. In the service area was a sign saying how they only service their Preferred Customers!! That's why they told my 2 mths because they knew I wouldn't be around that long.....I wasn't a "Preferred Customer."
