We are already packing and Bob is getting ready to do some fishing. Does anyone else going fish? I don't realy like to fish with him. He gets a little too serious about it sometimes. We will be bringing our boat and would be happy to share it with you guys. Anybody else bringing one? I guess we should sign up for some stuff. Friday night we will cook a couple of tri-tips and bring some snacks and Saturday we will bring a side dish and snacks. We would also like to pitch in for the breakfast. What should we bring? This is our first Rally and we are looking forward to meeting all of you. Bob is tring to get of work friday so we may be able to make it on Thursday night.

Karen, since you are a newbie and haven't seen this photo before, I'll show you a picture of what happened to me at the October SAL rally 2 years ago when I accepted a fellow camper's invitation to go water skiing....

Man,Doug I sure would have thought you would have healed by now .
I'm not sure I have ever seen that many colors on a body before. Maybe you should also share your fishing pics with her. I bet Bob might just leave you on the shore.

OK then. Here's the picture of me with the triple hooked lure embedded in my eyeball. This is what happened when I accepted a fellow RVers invitation to go salmon fishing with him in Valdez last year....

Doug....My best advice to you is not take up any more offers from fellow RVers and with that kinda luck I wouldn't wast any money on Lottery tickets either.

And as I seem to be on a water-related incidents roll here...I wasn't even going to tell you all about this one, but what the heck.
Last week Juanita and I took our 26 foot sailboat (that's real big for a trailerable boat) to Lake Sonoma for a little picnic and sail. I've been having some problems with the Honda outboard and wanted to test it. Well....it died just when we needed it most...as we were motoring back to the dock. I was unable to restart it and get it into reverse and ended up ramming the dock with the side of the boat. Gouged the fiberglass.
If that wasn't bad enough, I took a shortcut up a mountainside to get from the dock to the boat trailer parking area. It was very steep and about a quarter mile hike. As I neared the top, I looked down a couple hundred feet below and thought I saw a blonde lady sunbathing topless on the shore. I stepped off the edge of the trail and fell about 20 feet downhill onto rocks and some kind of bush with stickers on it. Never even got a good look at the lady. Gouged my hand and leg. More blood.
We've not done yet. On the way home we were on the freeway (Hwy 101) and the boat and trailer detached from the truck in rush hour traffic. You don't even want to know what got gouged this time. Maybe I'll tell some of you at SAL...
It wasn't a good day.

Hi Bill & Vernetta! We're not able to go to SAL this time either. Maybe February. Sounds like Big Sur would be fun, too.
Doug, what can I say? I just hope that everyone at SAL keeps their cameras handy. Just be careful about waterskiing, fishing, sailing, towing, hiking, lusting, and .... whatever. Juanita, don't forget the first aid kit. Try to have a safe trip.

Yep Rick I think Juanita was probably just sitting in the boat waiting for Doug to come back..... I think he was a victom of a "boobie trap"
