I bought the Camco gutter extensions sold at WalMart only to discover they won't fit my TT. They don't work with the small extensions I already have on my awning rail/gutters. It seems the awning rail I have is the problem. My gutters have the round awning rail at the bottom. Has anybody run across this and is there a type of extension that will work with my setup?

I have an 04 Nomad. I got extentions at Walmart also. I had to remove the short ones. I am not sure if the gutters were round on the bottom. I was able to use the same drilled holes that the short ones were in. Then I used a white putty material to seal them to the gutter. Hope this helps.....John

I got mine out of the wife's clothspin basket.
Clothspins are cheaper and one size fits all. When we are going to travel but them in the storage box to be replaced after or during the trip. No black marks since they are long enough to direct the flow away.

Hi All.
If you look at most RV's, the way that the trim runs at the top, the trim is tucked underneath the trim. That is why you can't get them to fit. Most of them are made to go underneath the trin. You can go to a lot of work, and start at the far end, and take all of your colored trim off, and have access to that last screw behind there. Or you can do like I did. I just used my Bench Grinder to knotch out the part that won't fit, and make a different pattern so that it will buttt up to your Trim and Metal. Then just drill one small hole, and use Butyal Putty behind it, and put a Stainless Screw in there hole. it will not leak. I have been doing this for many years now, and I have never ever gotten a leak. And if you break one off, or they crack due to age, then you just knoch out another one, and put it right back up, with fresh Butyal Putty. I can make any brand of Gutter Entension work on our 5er by doing this. And it is almost invisible to see from the ground. Good Luck. Happy Camping, Dan & Jill

This is an honest answer the best Gutter extension I have ever used are the ones I make from the handle of a one gallon water jug.
Tools required;
Step ladder
Razor knife
Clear silicone
Water bottles = to number of gutters needed
Look at the existing extension – cut water bottle handle to fit – cut of at desired length – silicone in place.
For the most part you barely see them and if they are knocked off or lost they are easily replaced.
I like you have bought many of the add-on’s and they have never worked as well as the made to order water jug one’s.

I tried the Walmart extensions also. My trailer already has fairly long extensions on it but I guess I had visions of draining the roof on to my neighbors site or something. When they didn't fit I put them on my list of things to do that I'll probably never do (shaping them so they DO fit) and so far my trailer has survived just fine without them. keep up the good work Skip ;B

Everytime I have put long gutter extensions on a trailer that we have, I end up bending them or knocking them completely off when I wash the rig with our long handled wash brush...
