Hey everyone! I finally got my new TV and love it. I also just bought new wheels and tires for the TT. I found the wheel/ tire combo on ebay for about $5(each) more than buying new tires alone at Sams. Plus I get shiny new polished wheels opposed to the white ones now.
I am wondering what the easiest way to change all four. Is it possible to lift the entire camper off the axels with the stab jacks and 4 other jacks as well? I really didnt think this was good for the frame, but wanted to ask. I have changed a tire about twice on my TT but neither time was very easy. I have the block to pull a good tire on, but it still didnt raise the bad tire enough with jacking up the frame or axel.
I want to thank everyone in advance. This forum has always been a great resource for me. Thanks all!

By putting a jack under the axle it is only necessary to lift the axle a couple of inches to change the tire. You can have each one changed in under 10 minutes. If you try to lift the entire trailer by the frame you will have to lift it high enough for the suspension to reach full extension, plus an inch or two, to get the tires off the ground. Not only will it be somewhat labor intensive,it is time consuming because you will need to support it in enough places to avoid bending things. The trailer is engineered so that the weight is supported on the suspension. When you start lifting on other areas of the frame, things start flexing and bending. I could have all four changed before you removed your first wheel.
I am getting ready to remove the studded tires from my car this week, and changing all four will take less than 30 minutes, start to finish. To jack the whole car up, put it on stands, change the wheels, then remove all the stands would take considerably more time and effort.
What is it you are trying to accomplish by raising the entire trailer? Maybe I'm missing something.

Lifting your trailer on it's stab jacks MAY find you looking for a new (undamaged) frame on Ebay and possibly a new set of stab jacks also. Very carefully by jacking near the axles lift each wheel individually so you don't do damage to your trailer frame. You won't find those at anything CLOSE to that price. Good luck / Skip

hook your TT to your tow vehicle and drive one wheel up on a 4 or 6 inch block. You can only do one tire at a time anyway, so why not. this way the TT is stable and the tire is up off the ground. drive it off to tighten and then drive up on with the next wheel, etc.

Friend, it takes very little time and effort to change out tires and rims.
I just had my grandkids remove all 4 tires and wheels, ( one at a time ) plus hubs and drums, clean all bearings and surfaces then greese and reassemble in a couple hours. That included me checking the brakes and brake wires, plus supervising the greese operation.
OH yeah 1 is 16 and 1 is 13,.

While we've got the wheels off of our TT, I was wondering how often to pack the wheel bearings. I've had my Coachman for a year now, but its an 04, and probably never has had this done to it. Thanks.

I would jack up each wheel one at a time from under the springs. Easy job.

I use Leveler Blocks and make a ramp in front of both wheels on one axle. Loosen lug nuts on other wheels, then pull up on ramps. Change wheels, grease bearings, check brakes, back down, tighten lug nuts. Repeat for other 2 tires.
