Always locked, but sign in window stating pet inside, please rescue in emergency. Actually changed sign to read PET(S) inside, 2 dogs, 1 cat. This is important not only for when leaving pets, but also while traveling in case of accident.

Sorry, but I have to differ on this one. Unlocked is the way to go. We have been camping for 15 years and never had anything stolen nor any trouble with trespassers. If I were camping somewhere that I felt the need to be locked up all the time I quite simply would not be camping with my family there.

If someone really wanted into your MH it would not be too difficult to gain access through a window or door, so why risk having your MH damaged.

We always locked the door. No longer have a pet, and we still lock it.

No pet here. Locked in any event. I know most RVers are good folk, but some cg's have neighbors who don't know that an RV is not to be entered without invitation.

At several rallies I have noted many coaches, including my own, left unlocked during the day. until the day comes when the public can buy day passes. Then everything is locked up tight.

Once in Ft Desoto cg in St Petersburg we left for the day and not only left the coach unlocked, but we left the door and the screen door wide open. When we returned at night and discovered this, my first concern was the many hungry raccoons, then the mosquitoes and finally humans. None of the above seemed to have taken advantage, but I am firmly on the door locked side of the ledger.

I have a hideout key (not in the water heater compartment like every RV Dealer) I can direct someone to in an emergency. Phone numbers posted in door window.

Our trailer is always locked when we are gone, even if it is just a walk around the park. When we do have our dog with us, she goes into a travel kennel and we lock up. She never will mutter a sound.
