G'Day All,
I just purchased a Flojet Portable RV (Model 18555000). Does anybody have any thoughts/experience/feedback? The Camping World reviews were mostly positive.
Thanks!

I have used mine many times and it works real well especially if your don't have easy access to a dump station. Your can run the hose to any septic tank and dump that way. I use my at home to dump into my septic system. You will probably need to add some wire to make the hook up reach your battery, they don't ever seem to be long enough. (This depends on where your battery is located.)
You will need a water hose (old one) to discharge the waste that it grinds up and if you want to flush the tank after draining you need a water connection and a hose.

I was impressed (in a good way) when I used mine, it performed better than I expected... Good product
Interesting thing about macarator pumps You can buy 3 or more different systems... But they ALL use the same pump. Flo-Jet's (Well, Flo-Jet's parent company's)

Thanks for the responses gang. Makes me feel more comfortable that I made a good purchase.
I have a seasonal site on the "Mighty Muddy Missouri" and have a porta-potty on site. Bought a service where they will pump it out and clean it each week for $35/month. I figure the guys can use the porta-potty and save the camper toilet for the women. I plan to pump the black tank into the porta-potty and let them haul it away each week. I'll have water for the clean-up and already have a clear elbow (which was a great investment in itself).
Thanks again for the responses.

Works fantastic. I use mine mostly when coming home from a long trip I can dump at home. Before I got it I always worried about that last dump at the campground and what would happen if I had to use the toilet on the way home. No problem now, I just dump in my septic tank

You guys with the positive comments ... are you using the same kind of pump that I bought? Mine hooks right up to the sewage pipe in the same manner as the "stinky slinky". Is this the type of pump you have?
I'm getting excited (if I can use that word with this particular subject) that I made a great buy. If it works as well as you all say, it will pay for itself in no time just in the savings from not having to pump out my black tank.
I was going to bury a 100-gallon holding tank and have that pumped out periodically and that would cost extra $$$. Again, if it works as well as you all say, then the cost savings are definitely going to pay for the pump many times over.

I will never be without it. Just be sure to use only TP in the toilet. No baby wipes etc.

I use mine every summer at our home base back in Ohio. Pumps 150 ft. uphill with no problems. Buy 3/4 inch hose or larger so pump does not overheat. John
