Yes. Send my portion of the money to me. You have my address.
Holy s**t. Did you believe the weather yesterday? It's really windy here right now, and they say we could have more of the same today.

The wind blew very hard for two days and then it slowed down enough to rain, then it got nice and then more rain and now it's just a good breez but they said it could do the same again.
Today: Variable clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon hours. High 63F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
I am headed dowm to Elsinore this morning, PattyJune will come down after work.

It is windy on the west side today and it has sprinkled twice. I just hope the commute home isn't as miserable as last night!! It took 1.5 hours to get to downtown L.A. (oh, maybe 12 miles?), both the freeway and the surface streets that run E-W were gridlocked. Once I got past the East L.A. interchange it took 1/2 hour to finish the other 12.5 miles of my commute. UGH!
Happy 3-day weekend everyone. Be safe!! Wish we were with you....

It snowed so hard in Banning-Beaumont last night that they closed I-10 for a little while so Caltrans could bring out the snow plows to clean the highway! OH YES it was a very fun night on the road!

Thursday, I drove through pea sized hail, on the 5 freeway, in Van Nuys. You don't see that every day! We've only had a few windy showers in Ventura County.

Well, sign us up and we'll try our best to make it this time!
We found out about left side driving on our first trip to Jamaica in '99. The best way to describe it is like the old Space Mtn. at Disneyland but with lights. They drive way too fast and the roads are the worst!
We are at home for the weekend after a rough couple of weeks. We had to put our Dalmatian down last nite after 13 years and only 3 weeks after Lindas dad had passed.
Enjoy the time off, folks! Jim & Linda

Happy Sunday bump. Tomorrow being the annual Memorial Day (Decoration Day) holiday, I'd like to thank all of those who served our country and helped protect the freedoms we enjoy. And, a moment of silence and prayer for all those who gave the ultimate. I'm sure someone will post a fancier reminder as the day (tomorrow) moves along.

On this holiday, where we honor our veterans and everyone who wears a military uniform, I always have special thoughts for my father. George Kieffer joined the Ca. National Guard in June of '41, to learn how to drive a big truck. He was one of the first to go to the South Pacific; serving in New Geunea, New Britain, Eniwitok Island and the Philippine island of Mindanao. In 1945, when he got back to the States, the Army finally taught him to drive a large truck.
I salute all our veterans and current members of our military services. Our prayers are with all of you.
