All the talk about the Story Tellers Cafe at the Grand California Hotel at Disneyland. Guess where I had to take Rindy for breakfast yesterday. Yep, that's right. But at least I got to talk to Chip. And Dale.

And before you post Vince, I didn't say Chippendales.

It's OK, Tom. I understand that both Chip and Dale like to nibble on little nuts!!!

So THAT's why they asked where you were.

Tom, it sounds like Rindy wanted to hear make believe stories from someone else besides you. LOL.

We arrived in Redding to 95 degrees yesterday. Later, we went out to the the Sundial bridge across the Sacramento River. That bridge is pretty awesome. It was really lit well at night and just cool to walk on and around. I recommend anyone coming up this way take the side trip to see that cool bridge. Today was 80 and REALLY nice. They had that Bodies Revealed exhibit at the museum and that and it was really COOL. Well worth the admission price. Not quite like talking to Chip and Dale but there were nuts there too....
This trip was to go up and see my dad and grandma and then dad was going to take their new motorhome with us along the Oregon coast. Well, we got a call that my dad fell off a ladder and broke his leg tonight. This is not 4 days after him having heart surgery where they put in 2 stints to prevent a major heart attack. I hope I am not that stupid when I get that old... Guess they will not be using their motorhome for a little while. Off to Salem and over the Siskyous that just got snow yesterday. They are expecitng rain up that way starting tomorrow.
For those thinking on getting on the 5 north, regular gas has been averaging $4.37 a gallon along the 5. It got cheaper than the L.A. basin once we got over the grapevine. So far, we are getting between 7 and 8 MPG while traveling at 56-57 mph with the Saturn in tow. Funny thing is that almost all the trucks out there are traveling about the same speed and many cars seem to be going about the 65mph speed. Looks like the cost of fuel is making people slow down.
Everyone have a good week.

Glad yer having a great time, sorry to hear about your DAD. Did you get your sensors yet?
Actually, once you get out of Ca. the gas prices will go down about 10-25 cents a gal., or more. That's what we found during our vacation back to the midwest.

Keep us informed. happy trails!!

Hey Mikey - where did you stay in Redding?? (or that area?). Although I think we have decided not to take the MH when we go in July. Gas is just way too much for our beast at 6.5 mpg and no tow car. Our family vacation has turned into a long weekend in Bishop this year, well, Weds to Sunday then we'll come home and drop off the toys and take Bill's truck north for the cousin reunion.

Mac - if/when you go to that giant Sporting Goods Candyland, check out the greeters. Betty is Bill's & my sister-in-law. She works part time there. Boy we miss all of you. Our schedule is pretty stuck with family things through August. I have stopped counting how many Pechanga outings we have not been able to go to (and I want to, I want to!!).

Everyone who is out traveling - be safe. If you are going this weekend - same thing! Happy Wednesday all - J

Mikey,

Hope you're taking lots of photos. I've never heard of that bridge, so I guess I'll have to look it up on the new internet thingee.

Have fun and be safe.

That's because more people are drinking so they can forget the gas prices.
