Some noise is good. If you have a valve that leaks, you want the pump to wake you up in the middle of the night. Noise is much better than an overflowed toilet.

i agree ,, what is with the noise problem any way ,, my alegro bus has a noisy water pump ,, but it don't bother me ,, if u hear a little rattling ,, so what ,, turn up the tv ,, sorry ,, it's just MO on the the water pump thingy ,,, and yes it would be better to hear some noise from it ,, as the above posted ,, better noise ,, than a flooded MH ,, IMO

I haven't done anything about mine yet but this is what I was planning to try. Thanks for the info. I guess I'd better get a "roundtoit" and get the job done.

With mine mounted under the rear queen it was annoying to say the least. Simple test, take the four mounting screws out completely and turn the pump on. Mine is nearly inaudible now even the line pressure noise is gone. The noise is actually the vibrations reverbing(something like that) through the screws into the coach frame. Think of those kids toothbrushes that play music through their teeth. To be on the safe side I had enough room to put a rubber strap over the pump and screwed that down. Hope thay helps.

Been there: All of the previous suggestions help. The pump vibrates and transmit the vibration to the water (and then to the pipe) and to its mounts.
I had vinyl lines so I mounted the pump on a piece of plywood and rubber mounted the plywood to the floor with long screws and a stack of grommets on both sides of the plywood. It kinda floats on rubber.The pump mounts transmit vibrations at a different frequency than the grommets so the double mounts compliment each other.

All the suggestions are good. I have the 5.7 Shurflo mounted on an old mouse pad and rubber grommets to the plastic floor of my water bay. I also added the 2' of flexible hose. Mine is very quiet, but is also below the double insulated floor level.
One last thing you may want to try. Follow your plumbing the best you can and check under the sinks and in closets to see if it's touching up against walls. If it is, put some foam insulation around it where it touches. A lot of nosie comes from the piping banging against the walls in various areas.

Just removing the screws quieted it right up. The noise was traveling through the screws into the coach floor amplifying the noise. It seems that the very slight twisting of the pump with the rubber strap when running lets the outlet line relax at the pump instead of further in the coach such as in the walls, ect..

I bought the silencer kit from Camping World, which is basically just two soft lines for the input and output side of the pump. They make a circle and hook up to the hard lines that used to be directly on the pump. Made a huge difference in noise and vibration.
