With the fuel prices etc. I was wondering what people are planning this summer. We have 2 big trips (Nashville and Chesapeake bay) and about 4 small trips to our favorite local campground.

Several weekend trips into the Rockies are planned. We don't have any long trips planned just yet. We're not retired, yet, so we have to plan according to our vacation schedule at work.

We have a trip scheduled to go to New England, Washington DC leaving toward the end of June for about two months.
You cannot really afford not to take trips while the gas price is where it is at. What happens if it increase more?

We're going to Disney World this summer, about 2400 miles round trip, and we'll do a few shorter (200-400 mile) trips. I tell everyone that we're going to go while gas is still cheap.

We had a trip planned to Yosemite (2000 miles RT), but decided to do smaller regional trips (200 miles RT) instead. We plan to average trips every other weekend through the summer.

Chicagoland to Glacier NP. Pushing 4,000 total miles, including day trips at the destination.

Helps that we get 19 mpg towing. I figure we'll spend about what regular RVers would have spent when gas was $2/gallon. I can live with $850 gas budget I guess.

Us popup guys gotta gloat a little now to make up for the occasional rainy setups....

Enjoy your gloating, Guest. There are times I think very fondly about our old PUP, and towing is one of them.

We're planning a long trip to Yellowstone, n. Utah and Idaho, and a shorter weekend trip to Michigan. Some other 2- to 3-day campouts not far from home, probably (unplanned at present) and hoping for another trip this fall, perhaps to IN/KY or to the Carolinas. I agree, gas may never again be cheaper than it is now, so we'll enjoy while we can.

We went to FL over spring break in early April. We are camping closer to home this summer..the farthest trip we have is about 200 miles away in OH.

We are supposed to go to FL again over Christmas. I can manage it now...but if gas climbs to $5 I'll have to seriously rethink those plans.
