We have 2800 lbs and would like to have 3500 lbs.

As it is we have to travel with the water tank only 1/4 full and the waste tanks pretty much empty.

As full timers we need quite a bit more than the weekend warriors do.

My 38' Travel Supreme w/2 slides has 5500# CCC, which is plenty for my use. After I had it weighed on all four wheels ready for travel with our dolly and RAV4 attchd. full tanks I still had over 2500# still available for use, if I had the space to put it.

A Dynasty with a tag axle will have a CCC of over 7,000lbs. If fulltimmming I'd want 4,000lbs.

Can't speak for the others, but you are waaaay off on a tag axle Alegro Bus with IFS. Closer to 9000... With 10,000 towing...
And by the way CCC is "Cargo" CC, not "Coach" CC

We are at just over 10k LBS CCC for our coach. I'm glad we have more than we need actually much better than running over loaded like most.

The minimum? Probably around 5k but we are FT'rs.

We were close to buying a Monaco Diplomat (40') until we realized the CCC was something like 1800 lbs. for the particular unit we were looking at. That woke us up and we started looking at tag axle units after that. We bought the MADP 45 and were much more pleased to see the huge CCC on that one. I don't think it would be possible to overload it unless we started carrying around bags of concrete.

We have a little over 3000 pounds of CCC and I would not want less than about 2500 pounds under any circumstances.

Why would you spend what you do on these things and then have to sit and calculate how much water you carry so you can increase your carrying capacity and drive safely????? It would be different if you didn't have a choice - but you do. Buy something that has plenty of capacity and hit the road and don't worry about it. You never know about life - you might decide to parttime/fulltime someday or take VERY long trips and need the capacity. Also, someday you might decide to sell the RV and a low carrying capacity rating will limit the number of people who will seriously look at it.

Why compromise on CCC when making such a major purchase if you don't have to??? You can find a similar or equivalent coach probably at the same price level with a good CCC if you look.
