Same here and when I removed my outside shower I put that hose or an extension on the tub because we don't use the tub/shower, but DW does like to use the spray nozzle to do her hair in the sink and now there is enough hose to use it.

Cut a notch in ours as soon as we got TT home from dealer. Works just great.

Like others, I just cut mine and spread it apart to get the hose in or out. I have been doing this for many years on different trailers and haven't had one break yet.
Retirement: Waking up with nothing to do and going to bed with half of it done.

Thats the way the high walls come...it just snaps...may want to look at some of the parts for a HW and see in its interchangable.

The answer to the question, "What is the purpose of the shower hose guide."
It is installed in lieu of an anti-siphon valve and is to keep the shower head from sitting in a tub full of dirty water and siphoning (reverse flow) fouled water into the fresh water lines when pressure is lost/pump turned off. (The dirty water in the lines could be ingested the next time you turn the pump on) I believe it is an RVIA code. You should have a sticker next to your entrance door showing the mfg complied with RVIA regulations if you have the shower hose ring installed.

I unscrewed the shower head and pulled the hose out of the holder. It travel's fine when driving, does not come out of the head holder. DW uses the ring for a razor holder now.

I was under the impression that it was there to hold the shower head at a lower height when my 7 year old takes a shower. But whatever blows your dress up. I dont really buy the anti-siphon line.

THATS FUNNY BECAUSE WE HAVE NEVER HAD THE SHOWER HEAD FALL OFF ITS MOUNT WHILE TRAVELING. SO I USE THE RING TO HOLD A BOTTLE OF SHAMPOO UPSIDE DOWN. THAT WAY I DONT HAVE TO TRY TO BEND OVER TO GET MY SHAMPOO. I AM A PRETTY BIG GUY. LOL!!!
