I'm picking up my mother in 'mid route' at the Oaklahoma City Airport. Is anyone familiar with its layout? I'd like to just pull right through and scoop her up but I'm not sure if there are covered lanes, low overhangs, toll booths or any other crazy obstacles I'd have to avoid. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kate

I was based at the OKC airport for several years and very familiar with it's layout at the time.
To the best of my knowledge there are no low overhangs, unless they've been put up in the last year or so.
The road to the main terminal comes in from the north and is laid out in a horse shoe effect. The road coming into the terminal entrance is N. Meridian. It can be accessed off of I-40, I-44 or the extension of I-240. The main parking lot in on the north side of the main terminal.
The kicker is pulling into that area and making a stop. That will probably drive the security folks nuts. After all, The FAA National office is just across the field from the main terminal.
Might suggest that you call the airport admin. office and tell them what you would like to do and ask for any suggestions. It could very well be that they will tell you NOT to bring the RV up close to the terminal entrance.
On the other hand they might suggest parking in the remote area and catching the shuttle up to the terminal building.
Good luck.

I've avioded the airport for a couple of years since retirement, and know that they have been doing some improvements, so I don't really know about clearances. I think that you should be ok since shuttle buses pick up passengers, but if you want to be absolutely sure try contacting the airport at flyokc.com as they should be able to help you.

They have redone the pickup area at Will Rogers. They have shuttle buses that pickup passengers so you should be good with your RV. The only thing is that you won't be able to park in the area very long. They have an hourly parking lot that if you are there less than an hour it will not cost you to park. Hope this helps.....

Geeze, I've been busy. Here's my well over due outcome...
I called the airport and they were very helpful. They did not want me pulling the rig up to the terminal. According to them NO airport would appreciate this due to the hightened security measures. They directed me to an open gravel lot that was in reach of their satellite parking areas. Since they knew to expect me I was able to leave my rig and meet mom in the airport. It was very easy in and easy out. Nice... Nice people. I reccommend calling any airport before taking your rigs through them, as I will do in the future. Apperantly it could have gotten ugly, legaly, if I wouldn't have notified them.
Thank you all for the input.
Happy Travels!
