I have a set of blue and white globe lights (Christmas lights) that I have only put up once since I bought them.

The thing I like best to do is hang a couple of candle lanterns from ropes off the awning hooks for light. I have two sets. One set looks like old railroad lights and the other set looks like they maybe could have come off a ship of some kind. The candles load from the bottom, and I use citronella votive's in them. They put off a wonderful glow that allows you to see, but is not intrusive to other campsites around us.

It is so nice to see how people enjoy their own lights and decor around their campsites and the others around them. We went camping this past weekend and each night we would do a walk through the campsites to see others with their lights and decor and it was the highlight of our evening and something we enjoy doing as a family. Although there was a few campsite that nothing was happening, not even a camp fire going. Do they just stay in ther campers the whole time and do nothing? You do go camping and have fun and enjoy don't you? Each time we go camping we find something else we want to add to our decor and LOVE IT. We are looking forward to our camping trip in October so we can put out Halloween decor,(Can't Wait)!

We have rope lights around the perimeter of our decking, we fly old glory and the state flags, and the Culpepper flag, soon to be joined by a new pow/some gave all themed flag. Have other cute solar lights too. A doggie light and a gnome light. It is fun to drive around the CG on our golf cart and look at everyone's decor. We also fly our pirate flags for themed weekends, and at Halloween.............arrrggghhh Matey.

we have lights of palm trees and flamingos, a wood sign made for us, and a frog holding our family name :-) I just got my dad string lights of leg lamps from a christmas story for fathers day, what a hoot. We don't put them up all the time, we go to relax to camp, so sometimes we don't want to take the time.

I tried to get dh to buy a singing and dancing motion activated pink flamingo at big lots today, but he wouldn't budge. LOL

We just purchased some American flag lights for the awning.

I've got a set of tacky lights, as well as mini-globe led lights. Also have an electric palm tree. Love them all, but, if I'm only staying 3 nights or less, I don't bother to set them up. If the g'kids are coming, then I will set all of it up.

We put up awning lights and tiki torches. We also like to see how others have their sites decorated.

A couple years ago while we were camping, my husband found lighthouse tacky lights at the camp store. The funny thing was that DH and the kids gave them to me on Father's Day because that happened to be the day they bought them! I was thrilled because I love lighthouses. The lights are just the right amount of "tacky" for me. We try to remember to turn them off before we retire for the night.

We use outside lights on our PUP.

When we have elec. hookups...our 'tacky lights' are the Ramblin-Road (little cars pulling a trailer):

When we boon-dock...then we use two battery 'stars and stripes' lantern type lights:

Both type lights give off a softy glow and not a glaring light. We turn them off when we turn in for the night and do NOT run them all night. Don't want to disturb the neighbors, when we camp at a CG.

HAPPY CAMPING!!

We put out a small American Flag, butterfly awning lights with extremely dim bulbs (and unplug when we go in for the night), a table cloth and a ceramic duck. I love walking around and looking at everyone's set up!
