How many have this set up and how does the gmc dually handle this camper. Is it way too heavy ..... does it require air bags or spring upgrade. Camper weighs near 4000 lbs empty . Glove box sticker says 3400 lbs max camper weight.

What have you done so far?

I have a gmc 3500 srw with a 3000 pound trailer in the bed. First trip felt like riding a roller coaster until I put a set of Timbren's on the rear axle. Rides fine now

At that weight, you'll be doing something with the springs. How you upgrade them is up to you, as there are many ways.

Hi dan We have a 2002 11.5 and 3500 chev. We have air bags. No problems so far. We've traveled about 140000 KM, across canada,to Ariz., many trips to AB and Sask and Northern states. Skiing in the winter and golf in the summer. Several times through PR to visit my Mother at Halfmoon Bay. I put 90 psi under the slide and 30 on the other air bag. Mountain passes no problem. Works well for us.

My 10.8 SnowRiver is 3750 dry. All I have is superspings, MY 2004 GM dually handles it just fine. I just upgraded the tires to Michelin XPS tractions. Are you selling the Snowbird?

I have a 2005 Chevy 3500 dually and I had an 1140. It is the same approx weight as your 1150. I installed air bags and RS9000 shocks. I was very pleased with the performance. I even towed with a torqlift superhitch setup and was comfortable with 5k in tow.

In my sig, I weight in at 3750 , pull a 18 ft wellcraft I/O, and I had extra spring leaf added at time of purchase truck.

Save yourself some money and time, just get extra spring leafs added. ie; 4500 suspension.
