Has anyone camped at Yonah Mtn. Campground in Cleveland Georgia? We are looking for different campgrounds closer to home for a long weekend getaway but yet nice and fun for our sons (15 & 11 years old) and any other campground suggestions will be fine to.

we camp at Mountain Lakes....have family membership. Check with one of the campgrounds there and see if you can get a guest pass. We have been members for ages so I am not not familiar with the current memberships.

It's about 60 miles west of Cleveland, but one of our favorites.Fort Mtn.SP.It's just east of Chatsworth Ga..Great spot for kids.VERY unusual history of the mountain fort.No one really knows who built it.The Indians say the "Moon Eyes" built it.According to the Indians they were a tall, blond haired people who could see in the dark.Beautiful lake up at 2400' right by the campsites. We stayed here last July and didn't even need to run the AC.
