In this case I think I'd call for professional help.. A "Port-a-potty" company will be able to stick a hose down the toilet and empty the tanks that way.

Some rigs have 3 valves.. Usually a black tank, a gray tank and a master valve If the toilet is not draining into the tank then there are only three possible problems.. You are going to love the notes on this post.

1: The valve is closed (This may be due to a broken "Stem" (push rod)

2: The toilet is clogged going into the tank... Just like a home toilet it can clog..

3: There is something in the tank blocking the outlet.. Time for notes

Notes: In another time and place we (well I) read the saga of a RVer who's black tank would not drain properly.. He finally figured it out and fixed it.. I won't bore you with how he did it (Very messy job) but he found that when they cut the hole in the floor for the toilet pipe... They simply dropped the wood into the tank.. He bagged it, bagged the bag and returned it to the manufacturer

Since the OP's Jayco is 12 years old, I think we can rule out manufacturing quirks.

another question, were you using any black tank chemicals, like Odorlos, in the black holding tank? if you didn't, that's another issue. the chemicals help break down the solids and eliminate odor.

If you have enough space in your blackwater tank, flush a bag of ice cubes down the toilet, hook the trailer up, tow it around the bumpy campground roads (the ice cubes will help knock/break up the solids in your tank, and you can either then dump at the dump station, or, return to your site and dump into the sewer.

Once you've dumped, close the blackwater tank valve, add a few gallons of water to your blackwater tank via flushing, and your deoderizer chemicals. When the tank is again 3/4 full, open the valve and dump.

Best wishes for a nasty situation.

Ice usually won't work when the blockage is in the drain line. Also chemicals are for odor control. Your "stuff" shouldn't be in the tank long enough for any enzyme treatments to work, those are for septic tanks, you have a holding tank. Unless you leave poo in your tanks for months at a time??? The Honey wagon or Porta John service is a great idea.

i use Odorlos, which states that: "ODØRLØS Holding Tank Treatment eliminates all odors while breaking down waste and tissue."

i know that other chemicals just work on the odor.

Chemicals work on the odor.... Many of them are very bad for the enviorment as well and really need to not be flushed into a sewer system.

Products such as Odorlos are biologicals, they break down the "Stuff" making it easier to dump the tank.

They actually IMPROVE septic tank action and are things already found in nature.

I know what Odorlos claims as that was the brand I used before I stopped using commercial holding tank chemicals 6 years ago. I also know it takes weeks/months for the enzymes to actually break down solids. We have had a member years ago who was a septic man that taught many on here about these products. Believe what you want to.

I think your going to be making a mess no matter what you do. I'd rather have the mess on the outside of the TT. Pull open, or just take apart the outside valves (to make sure they are open). Stick a hose up there and let her rip. Clean up mess after....
