NO Chemicals needed, just use the Geo Method. haven't used any chemicals in 6 years and no odor problems or clogging issues.

What exactly is the Geo Method.....I have never heard of it.

why use single sheets and poke a finger through the paper? If you use any brand that is septic safe then you will be OK. I've Rv'd for over 40 years and used single once, never again. I don't use it in my house and I sure won't use it when camping. I use Happy camper black tank chemical and installed a quickie flush and in MHO the system I use performs as well if not is better than any thing else on the market. And I have used a lot of chemicals and gadgets on the market before I settled with what I have now.

Quickie flush has been mentioned twice during this post. Is that something only available online or at Camping World? Is it expensive? Is it something that I would have to install myself? If so, how complicated would it be for someone who is not considered a handyman? The Scott's brand of tp that is being recommended is the single-ply 1,000 for septic systems...may be different from other single ply's and different from other Scott's tp's. Anybody have knowledge of this?

Wow... a lot of people whose poop doesn't stink. I've been RVing for 30+ years amd except for one trial that flopped, I've always used the blue stuff. Unless you're always in a campground and have lots of water, chemicals will be needed. If it's hot and you are boondocking, blue stuff will be about the only thing that will work. Happy camping.

Sorry, guys we don't use the GEO method. We do love Happy Odorless Tank Treatment Formula. It's totally friendly to the environment and we've never had an odor in our years of using the product.

I like to use the TST Singles in nice little single containers. You dump them in and add some water.

Below is a list of TP with dissolving times listed. However we just use a generous amount of water when we flush and don't really worry about which TP we use. No chemicals at all.
I usually add a cap of liquid Tide to both waste tanks when are traveling to help keep the tank walls clean. Tide because that's what DW uses and it's handy.
