We are going from Cleveland to Savannah and wonder if anyone has recently driven that route. Didn't see many campgrounds listed in southeast Ohio or in West Virginia along 77. Any information would be helpful. We are taking our class C and pulling a car.

Don't know how many miles you like to cover in a day. But, if 6 hours and 300 miles is about right, Camp Creek SP in WV is within range. I-77 @ Exit 20... about 2 miles to the campground.

I was going to suggest the same one. Simple, cheap and quiet. Easy off and on.

You could stay at Tamarack Mall just off the turnpike. Not a campground but mgmt. lets you stay in the lower lot overnight. Has a restaurant and some eclectic shopping.

I wouldn't think about staying at a Walmart in the W.V. mts. Space is at a premium and the lots are small and crowded.

Dittos on Camp Creek. Been using it for several years now, on our trips to Charleston. In fact we had the entire park to ourselves on the return from Charleston in Feb.

In SC just across the state line from Charolette in Rock Hill. Ebenezer Park is a great overnight or extended stay place. This time of year get there early in the day as it fills up.

There are a couple of campgrounds at Wytheville. If you want to make a longer fist day, just east of Charlotte Lowes Speedway has a convenient one night spot. That leaves an easy drive to Savannah. We make the trip down 77 from Canton several times a year.

WE stayed at Fox Trail which is now a KOA. This is a stones throw off 77 at Fancy Gap. Nice Quiet and clean rest rooms. Blue Rig Parkway goes right by it.
