Besides the benefits discussed above, there are many, many local clubs based on many different "common interest" criteria. Many people belong to and are active in one or more of the local clubs and never have nor plan to attend one of the big rallies. That would be me. It is the local/area clubs in addition to the insurance benefits that are the best benefit in my opinion.

Join by all means so that you will have more avenues to enjoy your motor home.

decan9 if you plan to drive a TYPE A motorhome, instead of a Class A, you should join FMCA. They have a campaign going to be "politically correct" in describing our rigs. Personally I'm fed up with PC in this country and really don't think we need it in RV'ing. However, to each his own. I currently belong to FMCA, but don't plan to renew my membership for the above reason. I am voting with my wallet so to speak.
FMCA has no such "campaign". It is the manufactures association that came up with this. Larry obviously hasn't taken advantage of the benefits of the organization as he shows his ignorance and should leave.

I would join. $ 45.00 for the first year and then $ 35.00 each year after. Have meet a lot of nice people on the road and it is really nice to be able to know there name by looking up there number. Benefits out way the fees. Don't listen to some of the crazy people on this forum, I think that they have forgotten what camping is about and just like to complain.. Good luck with what you decide.

I'm a member. I'll pile on and say my plates are black and white also. I still haven't found a use for the second one, tho. I was going to put it on the front of the car, but since we aren't required to have a front plate the manufacturer didn't give us a bracket. It looks really stupid on the motorcycle.

I went to my first convention in Pamona this year, and it was great. Lots of very good info and the oportunity to stroll through some motorhomes I could NEVER afford!

We will probably join a local club when we get back to AZ, as we will most likely to fewer long trips next year, and I'm not ready to park tthe MH yet. Another good thing about the convention was we got to meet folks from all the local clubs.

Worth the price.

I joined when we purchased our first MH. I also joined the Spartan Chassis Club. The magazine list many of their benefits and good articles. I recently purchased a used tow bracket setup from a classified ad in the magazine that saved me a lot of money instead of buying new. The Medex is also a good benefit. I will continue my membership.

Yes Join! As already stated lots of benefits for minimal cost.

DW refuses to drive the MH (says it's too big) and when she found out one of the benefits was a volunteer service to help you get your rig home if for some reason you can't drive weeellll sign me up!!

We are all good at something.....
I just happen to be a good bad example.

I would recommend you join. For both the noted positives and also some others I have run into. It seems that to belong to some other organizations, you have to be a FMCA member before joining them. The Workhorse Chassis Club for one. You cannot join the club unless you are a FMCA member. I have seen other things like this also. Why, I don't know but they exist.
I have found it worth the price of admission into the FMCA.
