We get the same as most have mentioned. We have a 1999 275hp and get between 7 and 7.5 mpg towing a tow dolly with a Hyundai Accent, We drive about 55 mph, strong headwinds cut into the mileage about 1/2 mpg.

We have a 2008 National RV Sea Breeze 34 feet, two slides with the 30 valve Ford V10. We got it in March 2008. On our first trip from Lazy Days in Florida to Sparta Wisconsin we got 6.3 MPG. It had around 2500 miles on the vehicle. Now we have over 6000 miles and our last trip was 1100 miles and we got 9.2. I was a little worried at first with only 6.3 mpg. I keep the speed around 58 to 60 mph. The holding tanks were about at 1/3. I have the tires inflated 10 lbs over what the Coach manufacture recommended. (not the tire max) It's only the wife, dog and myself. I ask the question if it was worth the money to install the Banks Power System and received a lot of good advice. I'm glad I took it, saved me a lot of money.

I have the older 275 HP V-10. My MH is 30' and no slides.

I get between 9 and 9.5 mpg if I keep it at around 58 to 60 on the highway. If I take it up to 65+, mileage drops to somwhere between 7 and 8 mpg.

99 F53 275HP, no slides, 4 spd, Banks and Transcommand. All MPG adjusted for generator usage. Travel at 65MPH + or - a few MPH. Both trips with 2007 CRV toad. Unit just turned 70K on this trip.

2007 trip = 3327 at 7.35MPG
2008 trip = 2498 at 7.95MPG

More info/factors cut and pasted from a previous post on Airtabs.
Best to all,
Smitty

Will report my numbers from 2007 to 2008. Different parts of the country so sure not intended to be a solid comparison. 2007 trip was 3327 miles, and 7.35 MPG. 2008 trip was 2498 miles and 7.95 MPG. Both adjusted for generator usage. Both run at the same speeds. But, 2008 included the Rockies with many, many miles in second gear at 4300 rpm. I'd say the 2008 was 25% more difficult on the rig then 2007. Also due to the heat in Monument Valley and Arizona in general, many hours required to run both roof and engine AC to keep inside temperatures below 90. 2007 trip was in Oct/Nov to Yellowstone and Teton's, very little AC usage on the 2007 trip. )(MPG values adjusted for generator usage.)

99 F53 as well, Banks and Transcommand. Just turned over 70K miles. Last week we completed a 3200 mile trip from NW Arkansas to Cape Cod. Average mileage for the entire trip was 7.3 mpg. We pulled an open 12' trailer with a 1300 pound Goldwing Trike. A lot of hills in northeast PA.

We used the generator about 12 hours during these 3 weeks.

I wish I could see 7.5 or more. Our 35', 2 slides which weighs 20,000 lbs and pulls a 5,000 lb Explorer is in the low 6's if running 60-65 and mid 6's if running 55-58. The last 3000 miles driving to Alaska was 6.5 and never exceeded 60 mph.

I am going to check my timing when I get home as so many others report better mileage-----although I'm probably at a higher GCVR than most of you.

Doggone slow wifi in Alaska Campgrounds (or this forum). Message locks up and when I retry, I find out the first one's went through.
