Now if you want to spend some money and never have to change plugs for years, buy Iridium plugs.
My wife's 2004 trail blazer has them in them from stock and in 50,000 miles- no wear. Put them in and forget about them.
Stay away from those"E" plugs- they are just a new gimmick.
If you still don't feel confident in those plugs- install an MSD ignition box- that will get those plugs talking!

Peersonally, I always liked the aircraft style "massive electrode" spark plugs. A great big 1/8th inch center electrode, completely surrounded by 3 or 4 huge ground electrodes, and 2 spark plugs per cylinder. Excellent reliability, easy to clean and adjust.
Then some brilliant engineer developed the "platinum fine wire" sparkplugs. A fine center electrode, and 2 wires sticking out from the shell. No reliability, very little life, hard to clean or adjust without damage.
We went back to the "massive electrode" in the R3350s.
All Bosch plugs are good. I wouldn't put ACs in a lawnmower. Champion, maybe, but never AC. Bosch, yes, definitely, that's all we had in the shop. If somebody insisted on AC, we would send the runner down to Champion Auto and get one, but we wouldn't guarantee it.
Nippon-Densos work good in motorcycles.
I know nothing abut split-fires, except that they look a lot like some aircraft plugs.

Back in '93 I bought a brand new Ponitac Transport. I kept track of my mileage for the first 20K miles. Average was 19.5 mpg. I then switched to Splitifres and kept track of my mileage for the next 5K miles. My average mileage increased to 21 mpg. I got sloppy on record keeping after that, but did periodically confirm my mileage and found it to be always be consistent with my original test. I have used Splitfires in most everything I own. Anecdotal evidence has always been that the vehicle has better high gear roll on power and smoother idle. Also any time I've taken pollution tests it has been below the measurable limit. One of those test compared to new AC plugs years before that did not test as well. I've not tried them in my new engine. My old 454 engine, I put them in before I ever drove it, so I have no point of comparison.

If any of our readers are swayed by the claims by Splitfire be sure to send them my way regarding purchasing some oceanfront property I have for sale in Iowa.
