Get a leveler set. Take your TT to a level parking lot. Place one leveler on the back/center of your TT and one near the back rear on either side. Once you get to your campsite you can just check to see if the bubble is centered in the middle of your levelers rather than taking a guess that your TT is level and then walk around inside with it shaking. You can get a set of levelers at CW for $7.77. They come will adhesive backing that you peel of to stick them to your TT...better than screwing them in. By the way, all CW prices mentioned are retail but if you pay for the President's Club membership ($20)you can get each product you purchase at 10% off for an entire year...worth the discount for newbies who have so much to buy at first. As a past tent camper you probably know that CW is not the "end all to beat all" but they do have certain camping goods that cannot be found elsewhere and the club discount is applied to online purchases if you need to have something shipped to you rather than visiting a store in purchase. Good luck and God Bless!

1. Water hose

2. Adjustable water regulator with gauge

3. Set of electrical dog bones

4. Set of the stick on TT bubble levelers (not mandatory, but very handy)

5. Sewer hose and fittings (I carry a 10' and a 20' both of the heavy duty type)

6. A few short pieces of 2x4 6" long maybe six to eight.

7. Something to block the trailer securely if you disconnect.

8. A decent tire gauge so you can check your TT tire pressures each day when on the road.

Know this...

An RV is a big box on wheels in which you toss money... Sometimes ALOT of $$$

Be safe and get what you need...

Okay...not to be disrespectful at all but some of you guys who are experienced rver's need to understand that the rest of us may not have any idea what you are talking about when you say things like "electrical dog bones" or "something safely to block the trailer securely if you disconnect". Also, we are already is near panic over the fact that what we thought was going to be a fun hobby is now going to cost us a TON of money so instead of just reminding us, could you offer some ways of dealing with the expense. For instance, where you shop for your supplies or what you think is necessary and what we can add on later?

Written words don't allow us to express ourselves like our actual voices do so please understand that I am so thankful for any advice I am getting in this forum but I am just trying to explain that us newbies are D-U-M-B and we need you to be specific...okay?

A lot of the stuff you can pick up as you go. Your dealer may give you a starter kit which will have a lot of things to start your trip generally a sewer hose, drinking water hose, some toilet chemical, and usually a electrical adapter or water pressure regulator. Camping world, Camco, RVtoyoutlet are all places to get additional items over the time. As stated your tow vehicle is ok then wheel chocks, water hose, sewer hose, and toilet chemical will start you off fine. Enjoy and don't believe you have to buy everything from a RV dealer. A lot of stuff comes from Wal-Mart, K-mart Lowes or home depot. The point is to use your new unit and you'll find what you want to add as you go. It can be as frugal or extravigant as you want. Good Luck.

I would add a voltage meter for inside the trailer.

There is nothing to panic over and you will not be spending a fortune. Relax. Make a list of what you need and price shop.
