I went into a couple of these that are on the lot at LazyDays in Seffner, Florida. They are interesting from and engineering standpoint but certainly not practical in my opinion.

In theory, it is a good idea. In the real world, maybe not. Camping can sometimes give you limited area on the awning side. Example: I set up camp at one of my favorite sites and put out the veranda. Lay my rvmat out and wait, the veranda is in the way of my sometimes small camping area. Put the veranda in and I can use the side area just fine. Ok, go inside and the verandas windows are so high, I cannot see out them without standing on my tip toes. Back to the this being a good idea!
In my sig, you can see it wouldn't work at that camping site.

I saw one at big valley jamboree this weekend and I personnaly thought they looked funny sitting up there and everyone staring at them. No privacy at all with it. It looks like something a politician who is campaigning would use.

Ahhhh. . . I can see myself now, His Royal Magesty waving his golden scepter above his loyal subjects. Yes indeed. Oh well, being one of the serfs, I don't have to worry about having a Country Coach with a veranda. Wouldn't have one if I could afford it. I was able to walk through one at the Escapade in Guilette at the end of June and found myself relatively unimpressed once I got the glare of the jewels out of my eyes. I still prefer the glow of the campfire as we roast somores with the grandkids. Just my never to be humble opinion. . . oRV

I can see myself now, on my balcony peering into the window of the coach next to me and asking myself "I wonder what they are doing in there?" while some lady in her Dutch Star is srceaming for her husband to do something about the wierd looking guy outside the window!

We would honestly purchase a variation of the idea, one where instead of a veranda they had wide steps coming down onto the patio. I like outside/inside open living. Of course its not for Burning Man or other dusty boondocking areas, but resorts where you have your own thatched-covered wet bar, BBQ and Florida room built up.
...And a good outdoor air con system!

I think that since RVs are enjoyed for a VARIETY of reasons - this veranda could appeal to some. It may not be the type of "RVing" that fits my bill - but I can readily see that for folks who are handicapped, they would be able to roll or ambulate out to this veranda or to lie on the couch indoors and be able to enjoy the huge outdoors via sliding doors instead of viewing out a smaller window. Or, it just may appeal to some because you can't tolerate the dust, etc.
At any rate,I would hate to be rude about what others might find inviting - go for it!.
