Hello all!
The bathroom light in our TT is not working. It is a two bulb light, that uses "921" bulbs. The old bulbs have sort of "burn" marks on them, like they were left on for a long time. BUT, the elements in them seem to be fine. I very well may have left them on when cleaning out the TT after our last trip.
I checked the circuit breakers / fuses, all that I could find seem just fine. I replaced the bulbs with the proper ones from NAPA, and they still do not work. I have tried using both the switch that is on the light itself and the one that is on the wall, still nothing works.
I have not checked to see if there is power yet at the socket, or taken off the fixture to check the wiring.
Just asking if others have had a similar problem, what they found, and what I should look for before I start tearing the camper apart.
Thanks!
(I did search, but I am terrible at searching, and didn't find threads with the same problem... I know they are probably out there!).

Once you have checked the fixture for power, let us know. It wouldn't be the first time that "new" bulbs weren't any good. Did you try them in any other fixtures?
Having a lose wire would be the obvious thought...with the vibration and motion that a TT goes through in the course of a trip, I'm surprised that more don't get loose!!
Good Luck

Don't assume the bulbs are good. Replace them to find out.

Make sure you don't have a wall mounted switch for that light that is "off".

Hmm... never thought of checking the bulbs in another fixture! I will do that.
I did also try the wall switch.
Thanks for the responses.

Two things.. Wife often has issues with the lights in my MH, This is because several lights have two switches IN SERIES (not 3-way but straight toggles) Like this
Ground___Batt________/________/_______Bulb__Ground
Both switches need to be ON
Second, Instead of a visual on those bulbs, DO a real test, Remove the bulb and try it in a different socket or try it using a battery and test leads or use a Multi-Meter in resistance (Ohms) mode.
Finally while you have the bulb out of socket.. INSPECT THE SOCKET
Though I've never seen one that style go bad myself.. IT is possible
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

YES! I fixed it! (sometimes, it's the littlist things that can get a person excited...)
It was the bathroom light wall switch. I finally had a chance today to go out and really check things out. I took off the ceiling light, everything looked fine. Before I really took apart the light (and would have probably ruined it), I took the wall switch off the wall. Well, one of the wires had slipped off the switch (also, I disconnected all power to the TT before doing any of this). I managed to grab the loose wire before it fell down in to the wall. I then carefully tightened the spade bits of both wires, and pushed them back on the switch. Everything works fine now!
We've been using a battery powered camping latern in the bathroom all summer, so as usual with only one trip left I finally fixed it...
Thanks all for the suggestions.

O/P said that they had done exactly that.
I would drop the socket and check for power at the back side of the socket.. It's either there or not. if it's not you have a wire issue
IF it's there look at the socket.. I have not looked up the bulb but if it is a bayonet type (Push in and turn) then the center insulator in the sockets will, sooner or later, break down and it will no longer contact the bulb.. You can replace just the center part (Insulator and contact) any auto-supply has 'em

Yup, the switch in my bathroom controlls both the light AND the fan. Thought I had a defective vent fan in my PID until I figured it out later.

Yep! That is what it was. Just took me awhile to get around to it...
