Any advice about equipment to take / leave home or overall, any advice about RV camping with a 6 mo old?
We've RV camped for years but our kids were about 10 & 4 when we
first started camping so we missed that baby stage.
ANY advice appreciated! THANKS!

Bring ear plugs.
All kidding aside I think the baby will love camping. Lots to see an do, people to visit with. Babies need this kind of activity. bring a comfortable cloth seat for him/her to set in. The plastic ones maybe easier to keep clean but not to comfortable to sit in. Have fun, I know the parents will appreciate the break.
2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. Pack-N-Play:
Not only great for naps, but take it outside and put a
blanket over top of it to keep the Bugs out while grandchild plays safely
inside it and off the ground.
Stroller:
Gotta love the walks. We have the bike trailer with the attachable front wheel to turn it into a stroller. It's great because you can zip up the netting to keep bugs out and also provides a little bit of shade too.
Home Items:
Sometimes it's hard for a youngen to sleep away from home.
Bring some things that will remind them such as the crib mobile or sleepy-time music/activity thing.
Baby Monitor:
Nice to have when the baby is asleep inside and you are outside enjoying the day.

I agree with Luck Would Have It. Have taken ours as young as two months and had a blast with them and they had a good time too. Items mentioned are a must!
Go and enjoy your granddaughter and make lots of happy memories for you and her.

My suggestion is to keep her on her regular sleeping/eating schedule as much as possible and the trip will be more enjoyable for everyone! Our precious grandson thinks our RV is his 2nd home and he has spent many nights in the pack&play on top of the dinette table until we upgraded to a bunk house with more room. It is easy for children to get over-stimulated when they are having so many new activities, meeting new people, etc. We always make sure Christopher has some quiet time with one family member prior to his nap or bedtime to settle him down. Precious memories of bathing him in the small kitchen sink. He is two years old now and it just gets better every trip! Enjoy and take many photos!

DD and SIL took a three month old last summer and the GC slept better than his parents (in the Pack-n-Play). He also really ate up all the attention he got at the CG. IMHO the most difficult age is when they start to walk up to about two...they can get around quickly and don't always listen to the "NO, STOP, etc." commands and can get hurt easily. Another issue we have found with our GC is that once you start taking them you will never have another free weekend because they all want to go every weekend. We just keep on making those memories.

Diaper Genie.
A way (boxes, etc.) to block off areas where you don't want the munchkin to crawl.
LOTS of baby wipes.
LOTS of spare outfits.
Powdered formula and bottled water.
At least 2 extra sheets for the Pack N Play.

Desitin.
Stocked diaper bag with spare outfits, wipes, diapers and either pre-mixed bottles of formula (and nipples) or get the Enfamil that comes in single serving sleeves that you just mix with water. For the latter, make sure you have clean bottles and nipples and a good source of clean water.
Forehead thermometer.
Infants Motrin and Tylenol. Ask the parents of the little girl what the proper dosage is based on weight.

Things I find indispensable while camping:
breasts
Ergo (baby carrier)
My kiddo happily sleeps with us. A screenhouse is nice if it's buggy out. If you use disposable diapers, carry plenty of plastic/bio bags to tuck them into before tossing them out each night. If you use cloth dipes, take a couple extra wetbags and flushable liners.
Glowsticks make nice nightlights. A tarp covered by a blanket = safe crawling area.
