Hello all, moving from the TC forum, we are selling the truck and truck camper due to a health issue. We are looking for a C. Looking forward to reading this forum to get up to speed on the C. Really getting excited about getting a C, I see a lot of neat trips, I have already talk to the DW about a trip, when we leave the sons house to head back home, he lives in N. Il. about 20 miles from Wisc. we live in a small town along the Mississippi River about 40 miles south of St. Louis, that we should follow old Route 66 all the way home, and just plain take our time.
Hope to check back often.
Bill

Good luck with your search. The "mission" for the unit can be as much fun as the camping!

I think I would like to be in the 30' range, with a lot of bells and whistles, just love toys. You know, He who dies with the most toys WINS.
I have found a couple that we want to go see. I just they are in decent condition.

Hi Bill! Good luck with your search. DH and I just bought our first MH last month - a 30 ft. 2005 Coachman Freedom with one slide. Right now we are on our second trip in it (this one sans kids - yay!) and we absolutely love it. It makes the drive so much better when you can get up and grab a drink or use the bathroom. We would have had to stop 3 times for me today during our 3.5 hour drive! LOL

Hope you find a great deal...we did!

Bill, as you have probably already figured out, to have a walk around rear queen bed down, it takes something longer than 27'+, And in our search, that was a major point, along with the V-10 engine. To get the 5 cylinder diesel your talking about a large van size rig, if that's your thing.
So welcome to the forum, good luck, and keep us posted.
Mike.

Welcome Bill..and I see you are a woodworker too. I had a garage built about 3 years ago just so I could have a decent workshop. I used to have a small towable and with my arthritis got really tired of the hookup and unhook process...all that bending is difficult with a bad back. The C is so much easier plus the beds are more comfortable. Good luck in your search and have fun!

yup, for us it took a 30'er to get the floor plan we wanted, which included a walk-around queen bed. certainly has the bells and whistles. didn't really look all that long, but have been very happy with our selection. enjoy the search, do your homework, and have fun with the rig!
