We have a Chevy Trailblazer with a 4.2 engine, we have been looking at TT's at about 24-26 ft. long. We are supposed to be able to tow 5600# with this vehicle, we just don't want to buy something and be sorry after the purchase.

I'm not very familiar with Trailblazer. I'm thinking it is based on the S-10 sized trucks? If so, no, I would not tow that big of a trailer with it. A Tahoe or Yukon (1500 pickup based vehicles) can tow a trailer that size.

I also have a Trailblazer, but due to it's fairly short wheelbase, I'd be very reluctant to tow something that long. My fullsize crew cab pickup even feels some wiggle with my 27' trailer. I can't imagine how much the tail would wag the dog when towing with the Trailblazer.
Good luck!

I would reccomend staying under 22'. The 26' trailer that I had was 4500lbs dry, and I probally loaded 1500-2000" on it to go anywhere.

Trailblazer....22' max trailer or a pop up. No way would I try a 25 or 26' trailer with the wheelbase and size of a TB.

Had a 2002 Trailblazer 4X4 with that motor. It was terrible towing our Arctic Fox 19B Two tries and we upgraded to a Tahoe.
So my answer is NO,NO, and NO!

FWIW took a trip to Lake George, NY last weekend and was really amazed to see the number of 25' + trailers being towed by Jeep G.Cherokee's, NIssan Pathfinders, Durangos and yes, Trailblazers. Even saw a 27' being towed by a 2 door S-10 Blazer. He had an air deflector mounted on the roof of the truck, but was sagging badly and in the right lane going about 50mph.
I'd agree with the concensus that its not preferable, but if you're doing short local trips, on flat terrain and are lightly loaded - keep the weight under 5000lbs and the tongue weight under 650 and I think you'd be ok. Again, not ideal, and just an opinion. A nice sized pop up would be much better for that vehicle.
