In looking around my area, and not to try to make this a selling your rv site, how many of you are seeing several more rvs that are sitting for sale than you've ever seen before?
I remember when I was looking for my TT, it almost seemed there was not a single rv sitting for sale anywhere I looked. The dealerships, of course, were loaded and sales were moving there, but individuals who usually have cars or trucks or boats sitting in their front yards or sides of the road with the For Sale By Owner signs on them did not have very many rvs of any kind around.
It seemed like I was never going to find an rv like I wanted to buy used, and I was going to have to go to a new one. I couldn't find any anywhere that were used and for sale. I was lucky to find the one I did buy, and if I hadn't been on the ball, there were already close to a dozen people who were interested in it, as it was about the only used one anywhere. I just happened to jump fast enough and flop out the check for the guy's price before anyone else had a chance, or i'd have missed the chance.
But, now, it seems like every used car lot, almost any road you drive down, and on many vacant lots around the area have some sort of rv sitting there for sale. You can find anything from popups to full size motorcoaches from almost any year imaginable.
They are sitting in storage building rental lots with a for sale sign on them. They are sitting in 99% of the used car lots for sale. They are sitting on the roadsides in front of houses for sale. But, the new rv dealerships look like they are almost empty and sales are almost to a stand still.
With current fuel prices, and the subsequent increase in all prices across the board from those fuel increases, it seems like everyone has one for sale now.
So, how does the area you live in look? Are they all around now, where they weren't before? Do the new dealerships look empty or have sales trying to get rid of their stock for what seems like outrageous deals?
I am interested in everyone's perspective on this. Does it seem like everyone is trying to get out the rv lifestyle where you live?

Not seeing too many rv's in my neck of the woods, BUT, there is a boat on every corner with a 4 sale sign........
Haven't checked Craigslist for a while, (about week 1/2-2weeks), But last time I did, there was only 1 rv 4 sale and it has been there for about 2 months cuz it's a piece of junk!

Seeing them pretty regular here. I have noticed that many of the car dealers seem to either be trading for them or are seeing them so cheap thru the auctions they are buying them. Either way the used car and new car dealers seem to be in good supply of RV's. The RV dealer next to my office has a lot full and seems to be moving some smaller MH's and some pop ups. Don't see his class A's or C's moving too well. He doesn't have a 5er on the lot and very few TT's. Been that way all spring and summer.

I usually see one or two rvs (from popup to Class A) for sale a year -in people's yards or self storage lots.
But at the beginning of this summer, along one road, there were three for sale at the same time. Doesn't sound like much, but it sure got my attention.

I don't see them parked in the City, but I do see a lot of Craigslist ads for RVs and trailers. However, I don't know if it is more than normal 'cuz there's always a lot. This is a big market (9 Mill in bay area).

Big trailers and gas guzzling trucks are everywhere I traveled this weekend, I see smaller ones like I drive.

I haven't seen many around us here just south of Montreal but I noticed that there were quite a few rv's and boats for sale along backroads where our seasonal is in upstate NY. While on a drive to the Essex (NY) ferry a couple weeks ago, I actually made a point of telling my wife that I haven't seen so many before!

No more then before. Prices aren't dropping either, like they did a couple of years ago.
I don't think much is selling though. If you blue book a diesel truck you'll see those are selling for 10% less then they should. Great time to buy a good puller for that new 5'ver
