Also. If you have Streets, and Trips on your computer. You can go to the town you want to visit, and right click. then click on. Whats nearby. Set the distance, and it will tell you everything, including all CGs that are in that circle. And how far out they are. Will give web sites, and phone numbers.

Do you have friends or neighbors who camp? They are usually great sources of local "gems" as they were called.

You might browse the govt camp sites (eg Corps of Engineers, BLM, etc) state-by-state at recreation.gov

Sorry to post something contrary to your post, but I'm guessing you haven't been there recently.

We liked it in 5/07, but things had gone downhill a LOT when we returned in 10/07. It was so bad that we left early.

Other people posting on rvparkreviews.com seem to have had similar experiences. Too bad - it used to be a great place.

I heard the owners have health/aging problems - it's showing in how much attention they pay to the campground.

I was ready to give you a great CG, but then you said it has to be in Georgia.

But Ok -- if you are curious and can make a trip to NC someday I'd encourage you to try Mountain Stream RV

Lucy, we decided to go to Mountain Stream based on your previous recommendations and we're at Mountain Stream right now for 10 days.

We love this campground, you have to stop recommending it, I want to be able to come back here and if you keep recommending it, I might not be able to get a reservation in the future!

Seriously, Thank you, its perfect.
