i have an EZPASS for our cars and wanted to add the MH (32'Brave), i was going to add it to my account and use the same responder, i didn't know what to pick for choices, it was only auto, van or truck. so i called and they told me if under 7000lbs use auto,if over 7000lbs i would have to get a commercial tag. i went home and check my wt on MH and it said 16,000lbs. so now i have to apply for a commercial one.
last year we used a friends EZPASS,(he put our MH on his account)and he listed as a auto 7000lbs. and we had no problems.
so do i get a commercial account or do auto???

thanks
shirley

Gabjam and Rocket Heart, This is exactly what I'm getting. When I 1st called PA Turnpike It was simple once I had the Car transponder but when I called back for the MH, seems everyone wants to make me a commercial vehical. They keep transfering me to commercial. I'll keep trying till I can find someone who knows something. I wish I can remember who I talked to 1st.

I had to go to the Fast Lane service center to get ours, it could not be done on-line due to the fact that it is a motorhome. The cost for the transponder was $25.95. I suggest you go directly to the service center near you with your MH and get your transponder. After you get it it takes 1/2 hour to be activated for in state use & 3 days for out of state use. We went early in the morning, then stopped for breakfast & then tried it out going back home, just to make sure it worked. All is well and is a great addition to our MH. Good Luck & hope this helps you.
